Questions, angle grinder for port modifications. -I have modified several 2 stroke cylinders with Dremels with decent results, but never upper transfers because I don't have a small enough angle grinder. -I have a trials motorcycle engine TY250 Mono with 68 mm bore that I would like to work on the upper transfers. My 90 degree 1/4 inch angle grinder is too big. -I can't afford a Foredom cable operated with the assorted heads. -If I have to buy something, I'd like to be able to do saw cylinders as small as the 026 44 mm bore. -What is out there that could do a 44 mm bore? I can do electric or air. The low speed dental heads are cheap, but t…

Could anyone help me out with swing arm shim dimensions please? Mine are missing, little wonder there was so much play. The bushes seem fine and well greased luckily. I was hoping the local engineering shop might have shims to suit.

I'm taking my fork tubes apart so I can send them to be rechromed as its peeling off I have got them dis assembled, I've got the damper rod out, but in the fork tube there is an aluminium bush and also what looks like a washer retained at the bottom of the fork tube. How do you get this out as obviously this cant stay in for rechroming. Thanks..

Hi All, I have been picking up useful information from the forum for years but this is my first post. I bought a rough looking bike on Ebay a few years ago knowing that there was a majesty under all the alterations and rust. I took the head of to check if the bike was a 250 or a 320, the bore measurement was 70mm so i assumed that it was a 250. On further investigation the left side crankcase was broken so i managed to find a new replacement on Ebay. Yesterday was the first time i have been able to put the old and new crankcases together, and i noticed the opening on the old case for the cylinder sleeve is larger than the new case. Am i right in thinking that th…

How do you remove the seal under the bolt at the bottom of the fork? Do you need to replace if it looks OK? I currently have 2 sets of forks. One set has what looks like a red fiber washers in place but they do not want to move almost like they are glued on place. I don't know if both sides sealed or not. The second set looks like it has copper washers on top of the red fiber washers. Both sides of this did seal.
