My TLR 200 had a badly rusted tank when I inherited it 12 months ago. Initially I tried the molasses treatment - 10 days submerged improved it but it didn't really control it so I fitted inline filters and became used to cleaning the idle jet. I have since tried other rust converters but once you rinse them out it is rusting again before the rinse water dries. However riding with a mate on his very sweet Bultaco M125 a few weeks ago and he was going through the rigours of draining his tank after a ride because of ethanol concerns and this made me a bit concerned about what may be happening on my Cota 247. So I decided to try and resolve both issues and I found an Aus…

Hi, I'm rebuilding a sachs 125 engine, as used in Dalesman, Penton, Saracen, etc. Does anyone know where I can get spares (either UK or overseas) ? Tony.

Just spotted this. Why oh why do this to a Bultaco 199B? link I'm stunned! Seeing as a nice 199B made 2500 gbp on evilbay recently I'm wondering what this will make now. Nowhere near the value of an unbutchered 340 I'm sure, but you can never tell. I guess he could started with just a frame and running gear as its not got the correct tank. Wayne...

With 24 entries in the Twinshock class on sunday, almost double that of any other class is this a sign of the times and twinshocks coming of age? Great trial again with the sections almost playing second best to the ride round!

Have recently aquired a Sammy Miller CCM 350T Hiro which has been modified, snell ported, Yamaha piston but unfortunately it has a broken 5th and 6th gear which the part number is cc08.13.106 and have no idea where to aquire a new or second hand one. Possibly even the whole gear cluster. I would greatly appreciate any information on how to purchase these or any Hiro components and any information on this bike would be greatly apperciated. With Thanks Andy from Australia.

I've recently bought an unused SM Highboy TY175 frame kit. I am in the process of puting it together to ride. I have have never seen another one and am trying to learn all I can about it. The frame looks remarkably similar or identical to a Whitehawk TY175, but it has a fibreglass one-piece SM seat/tank unit rather than the Whitehawk setup. Can anyone give me some leads or info about this bike? All I have heard so far is that they have a tendency to crack the front frame tubes and that the frame was probably made by Dave Cane. All suggestions welcome thankyou photos here http://www.trials.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7408

ebay listing When I saw this on the local Craigslist I thought it was a guy in the local club selling his bike. I mean, how many of these can there be? Turns out there were about three of them in the area. They were all bought at the same time back in the 70s, modified and competed with. I am trying to get the opportunity to photograph it for historical purposes. It was originally posted on Craigslist for $1500, but I think it will go a lot higher. As of this posting it's already at $1325 with 5 days left. He also has a M10 bitsa for sale, although it may not generate the same interest.

there's been a couple of threads on this in the past, but need a couple of seats (one SWM, one Honda) recovered, plain black is fine. Any recommendations in the UK (ie fast and reliable) that people have used recently ?
