just got my ossa 350 gripper back together after the psiton rings yet and a thought struck me, being 1980 would it be better to run it on leaded or unleaded, will it make much if a difference either way, im not bothered about performance, just wondering how running unleaded in an engine that old will affect engine wear. oh yeah, does anyone know what sort of mix i should be running, we ran it on 25:1 but we dont know

Hello- I am stalled in rebuilding a spare kt250 engine that was seized. I have rebuilt the lower end, and before I spend the money for a bore and new piston, etc., I want to make sure I can get a spark. I have the flywheel installed, and I have a CDI unit, but I do not have a coil. I'm looking for an aftermarket coil but I can't find out whether I need a 12v or a 6v coil. I know the lights are 6v, but the ignition coil on the magneto may not be 6v as well. Does anyone know which voltage coil I need, or maybe which coil specifically I could use? I found a couple of reasonable coils on ebay that say they are compatible, but I'm skeptical. And of course the used kt parts on …

Over the past few months I've dropped an XL185 motor in aTL125. Seemed fine on the first test run. Not so happy first and second gear don't always seem to engage when the engine is running, seems to engage but when the clutch is let out nothing - no drive? Third gear is fine and the engine seem to pull very well. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

Hi all,, I want to clear something up about twinshock trials bikes,,, I ride several different twinshocks, But the one i use in modern trials took me months to build and yes it has disc brakes, hydraulic clutch and a tubeless rear wheel, but at the end of the day is a twinshock.. and is a lot heavier than a modern bike, My point is when motorbikes were first used in trials they were just modded road bikes that people were trying to make as competetive as possible, So a lot of people get a lot of enjoyment from taking an old bike to the next level, and pushing the boundries of their bikes, But those of you who ride standard machines are constantly up in arms…

Saw a thread on the Todotrial site about Ossa Variants, and these interested me. Now I knew about the rare 303 TR80 bikes but what's the story behind these? Ever make it into even small scale production? Possibly rendered images of not existant models? Whats going on at the rear of the swinging arm? and a tiny Gripper? Looks like a Minerelli Engine? Wayne....

Years back I had a Montesa 348 which I seem to remember, somewhat confusingly, had an engine size of 310cc. Have just checked the internet and discovered I was wrong - actual size was apparently 305.9cc(?). Interestingly, on the same site, the Montesa 349 is listed as having an engine size of 350cc. Is this right? Or should it be 305.9 like the 348 model? Would be grateful for clarification from any Monty anoraks out there! Many thanks.
