Does anybody have any details or experience of travelling to the Andorra roud of the world championship? I note that last year the trial was based in Sant Julia de Loria, whilst this year it is listed as La Rabassa, which I believe is just a few Km away. I'd be keen to know where is the best place to be based & what is the best airport to fly into. Many thanks

Got our tickets for the World Trials Rounds on the 26th-28th July through the post today. Ends up young lads in London the week before and doesn't fly back till Friday 26th . So we have four spare tickets for Friday , now Fridays a great day brilliant to watch and get used to the sections , see the new bikes , speak to riders etc. and best off all watch them practice which is sometimes more entertaining than the trial. Price : Free to any Trials Central Supporter . Well worth going to see what can be done on a trials bike. Will post first class.

We have got the tickets but who will we see there & what might they be riding. Is Doug on the Montesa or what, last time he changed marques he rode out of a packing case with fireworks and music might we get a repeat. Anyone out there know.

What did people think of the commentary team at Fort William?? We had plenty of laughs at their expense, though I am not convinced they knew a lot about trials or the riders. Instead of cleans we had "clears", dabs become "taps", there were even some "prods" in there! Dabill became Dabeel, Michael Brown better known as Mike and Harry Harvey became Harvey Harry.

By my reckoning the season reaches halfway point in France on Saturday night. The Championship orders a bit different to previous years, and Fuji's had 5 day wins, Raga 2 and Dougie only 1. All the remaining rounds are taking place in Southern Europe, so probably likely to be very dry. I wonder what the riders school style reports would look like: Fuji (Prefect)- A good term, excellent progress, keep up the good work. Dougie (Head Boy) - A little disappointing, but a concerned effort with plenty of revision should see success at the end of the term. Raga - We know he can do it, but he lacks concentration sometimes and easily distracted. Likes to show off in front …

Title sponsor Lloyd Motor group and haulage giant Eddie Stobart have announced it as 'unlikely' that they will continue to support World Trials at Nord Vue despite the perceived success of the World Trial GP at the Carlisle venue. The venue has an uncertain future and the two local companies seem likely to focus on World Rally in the case of Stobart and 'Local events' as far as Lloyd group are concerned. 'Due to a lack of opportunity to hold World class Trials at Nord vue in the forseeable future we need to look at other opportunities to promote our business' a spokesman commented. ' Nord Vue was a great success but it's a shame there will be no repeat in the next few …

Lets be honest if the British Team of Doug, Dibs and Grimbo manage to take the title from Spain, then it will probably be the biggest ever upset in World Trials. Especially with a Spanish team that boasts the best 3 indoor riders in the World in Bou, Raga and Cabestany. Mind you they still have a better chance against the Spanish than Middlesbrough have against Arsenal. But this is sport and strange things happen. Good luck to the team, I'm sure they will give 100%. (thats both GB and Boro).

Michael Brown Strange how when taking the pic of young Mr Brown, Andy has managed to get him almost totally out of focus but the young Japanese lovely behind him is clear and sharp...... moral of story: don't even try to take pics of riders when nice girlies hanging around maybe Andy's not so daft

I'll bet that SPAIN wins the 2011 TdN, and you bet that JAPAN wins. Fujinami was in 2nd place in the world going into the last round of the year, so it should be a pretty even bet, eh? And in 2008 the Japanese TdN team finished second in the world. I'll even give you THREE TO ONE ODDS! [Please ignore the fact that Spain had 14 (fourteen - no this is not a typo) grand-total points in the recent 2010 Trials Des Nations, and Japan had 218 (two hundred eighteen - yes you read that correctly) *MORE* POINTS THAN THAT!] If you take this bet then I also have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'll sell you real cheap, and I have a million dollars for you if you can just give me your ban…

I know that in the past the indoor WTC has gone to some strange venues or not in the case of Buenos Aires. But Ekaterinburg on 22 Dec 2007 beggars belief. Just in case you didn't know the whereabouts of this place, I'm sure the riders where straight onto Google Earth, but it is in Siberia 1000km east of Moscow, North of Borat's home nation of Kazakstan. Its going to be cold and difficult to get to. I wonder who's idea this was. Bytheway who is organising the indoor WTC 2008. Its not Andy's pals at Octagon is it? For Your Information. Tsar Nikolai II and his family were murdered there in 1917. Its a 44 hour train journey from Moscow or 2 hour flight.

I see that following his switch to TRW Montesa, Dib's website has had a bit of a face lift. Well worth a visit. James Dabill Bike spec seems to refer to the standard 4RT though and not the 300cc rocket propelled factory machine.

Has anyone else noticed that in post-event interviews and press releases, all of the HRC-Montesa riders are almost literally falling over themselves to state that their relatively poor results are emphatically NOT the bike's fault. From the Barcelona press release (there are many other examples - check the FP news): Dougie: "...I made too many mistakes and have again been left out of the final. It's disappointing, of course, but we are all aware of being involved in a very interesting technical project, and that apart from requiring constant work, we run the risk that the result could eclipse our efforts." Freixa: "...We all generally made the same sort of mistakes, as …
