Not specifically trials related but im hoping someone can help. I am thinking of modifying my klr 650, puting on a custom subframe and exhaust ect. For a younger rider does anyone have an idea how much of an effect it may have on insurance? Cheers

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK to Buy a trials related calendar.? Does Trials Central Produce One? I have seen loads for classic road bikes etc but nothing for trials? It would be nice to see a trials calendar hanging up in my office for a change instead of my free carole Nash road bike one i have every year.

hi guys really need some help. his has probably been discussed before but cant find the thread. I have a 98 TX270 and need to set the front n rear suspension properly. I'm only a novice rider but would like to get the mist out if my bike and know if the suspension is nit set right then the bike wont ride so well. I've got the red and the black high speed adjusters on the fork all the way out and on the rear I've got the clicker in the middle. I also think there is to much sag. I have attached a image of the sag measuring from the center of the spindle to the mudgaurd. Thanks in advance

Mate of mine got a montesa 200, when the bike gets very hot (ie second lap into a trial) it starts mis-firing & 4 stroking & cuts out, then v. difficult to start - best bit was, pushed it back to the car and guess what - started first kick....methinks condenser or coil? any ideas? -its had the condenser mod next to the coil. Hi all, Just a quick question about riding my tl125 at a practise area, i havent done any trials since i was 7 years old and now im 24 and restoring my tl125. However I havent got a clue about what the machine is capable of or what objects are deemed ridable on a twin shock....im a bit worried ill look like a right idiot if i go and ride a a club. i used to race downhill mountain biking sponsored by volvo so to go into a sport where i have no skill is a bit scary. any tips?

Morning all, My brother has just been on from meribel village, french alps where (sorry if you are about to go skiing but) the snow has pretty much packed up and gone home for the season. There are a few locals on trials bikes excited by this and therefore out playing on the runs/rocks/general amazing terrain. Have always fancied a van or camper holiday this time of year down there, combine some skiing high up, some downhill mtb and take the trials bike too. In the absence of any organised events there this time of year (usually stil snow covered) i just wondered if any ex-pats out there knew the laws on doing such a thing - ie going up the tops/forests/trails etc for l…

Santa came...Santa Came! Seems that Santa was having trouble with the Reindeer losing traction on steep roofs, and not being able to turn in tight spaces. Jumping over the chimneys was getting to be difficult for the ageing reindeer as well, so Santa figured he would modernize his rig! Given the presents under the tree this year, I guess it must have worked! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! PS. Yes....I rode for about an hour today (Boxing Day)! Bit slippery with the front tire on the tight turns, but great fun nonetheless! PPS. Hmmmm.....not a bit of purple to be seen. Maybe I need to change my handle to Crimson Beast instead?

I came across the following page recently with links to step by step tutorials on how to perform common maintenance tasks: http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mcdirt/dirttech.html. Not trial-specific, but a Beta is used for a couple of the examples.
