Hey Guys! I thought it was an amazing trial, that went extremely well, apart from SOME, not all, expert riders being so rude to some observers that 4 left on the 3rd day because of it. I met some realy cool people (Mainly the Pearsons! A great big thankyou for the BBQ and Tim for letting me try your bike ) Well done Johny JAMBON! The sections were hard for the riders, the interzones were just as grueling, but i think everyone had fun so thats great I was observing for the 4 days, DAMN is it hard! Long days, but well worth it Now I'm glad of the rest Well not much more to say but hope to see all you guys next year when i will be riding Now Lets hear what you guy…

Me and a couple of mates are riding the Gerald Simpson Trial this week. We are making the long trip from daaaarnnn saaaaartthh, we have even got a <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> booked so we can have a bit of hero talk in the pub the night before. Looking forward to a good road event. Has anyone on here ridden it recently? Whats it like? Are any of you riding this year? Hopefully see you there. I'll be the one with a Union Jack on my lid, in a heap on the floor with the bike on top of me mumbling something along the lines of "i hate ******* rocks"

There are still some places left for this years Gerald Simpson Trial to be held on the 23rd of August. The event is a traditional single lap of 40 sections, roadwork is included. The course based in Coverdale will be as previous years. Return a copy of the regs attached + a cheque asap to guarantee a ride. SIMP_09_regs.pdf

Hi there, Just wondered if anyone else is popping along to the above trial over the weekend. It's any bike, any rider on Saturday and then their normal classes on Sunday. It'll be the first trial i've ridden in 20 odd years so i thought i'd break myself in gently. It's a pity i can't stay for the BBQ and Bar though! Roy.

I'd like to thank the Golden Valley team and their observers for the excellent March Hare yesterday.A massive amount of work has been put in,which isn't over yet.The number of fallen trees they had to clear was way beyond the amount of work they would have expected to do. At times it rained so hard it was difficult to see where you were going - that's my excuse for apparently missing 2 sections... But that was my fault, nobody else to blame for that. Running a road trial involves a massive amount of paperwork and organisation with various official bodies, many of whom aren't very helpful or see any sense of urgency. Then all the landowners have to be dealt with, including…

I've written my usual review of the latest Sammy Miller round and its on my website http://www.twinshock.org.uk. Some high scores (email results received last night), with no-one in single figures. What I've not worked out is how Geoff Muston got his TL125 through the 3rd last sub (the tight turn and muddy slot at Hamperley) for a clean....please let me know :-) .

Me and two of my mates are intending entring this seires starting at Fryup on the 25th of April. Question is for my two mates this will be their first trial and I am wondering how hard it is? They are complete novices they can bearly do wheelies! I am no expert either so I am not sure what class to enter. I guess they should also join the ACU before the trial? Or on the day?
