Hi guys, I`m planning on going to the Tweed Valley Trial on Sunday and was wondering what to expect compared to the north east trials. I normally ride the easy route, but I have been told that their trials are easier. Not sure if that person was pulling my leg or not. Anyone had any experience of both ?

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding the Colmore Cup on Sunday 8th March which will be a round of the 2009 Novogar Clubmans Championship. New for this year, the Colmore will have a less severe 'non-championship' route on 50% of the sections. The non-championship route will be aimed at riders who would like to ride in the 'Oldest National Trial' in the calendar but who would previously have found the Colmore Sections a little too challenging. Starting at Downs Farm near Bourton-On-The-Hill, the 30 mile route will include such favourites as Dovedale, Camp, Top Farm and Saintbury Quarry. There will be free refreshments at the half way punch card change at Top Farm, and…

  12. 41 riders took part in the Peak Classic Trials Clubs event on Sunday 25th July held at Waynes farm Ible near Matlock Derbyshire which was round 6 of the clubs 2010 championship. The course setter Darren Walker had laid out a comprehensive course consisting of sinuous turns around the trees along the steep banking then moving onto the rocks tree roots and mud mud mud lining the gully that runs along the bottom of the fields leading back to the start. After the prolonged dry spell of late some of the riders were surprised at the amount of glutinous mud which made the second half of the lap very tricky so say the least with the sections becoming very difficult after the fir…

  15. Sunday 27th July and the venue Berrycliffe Quarry near Elton Matlock Derbyshire Round 6 of the Peak Classic Trials Club Championship. Considering the weather a good turnout of 33 riders were presented with a testing but enjoyable course set out by the old master himself Mick Ransom. The course consisted of 4 laps of 10 sections laid out over and around the rocks and trees that this popular venue is famous for. Section 2 being one of the trickiest on all routes with some very tight turns over loose rocks and a climb out over loose scree making throttle control paramount. Pete Carson took his newly rebored Tiger Cub to a win with a loss of only 3 marks on the Expert Briti…

The regs are now out for the 2010 Jack Wood Trial on 28 March. Last year riders were asking where they could find regs through a thread, even though they were in the calendar, and so this year we are trying to ensure this is covered off. Maybe breaking some forum by-law in the process but all publicity is good publicity after all!! The regs and entry from are in the TC calendar, the Hillsborough club website soon and have been posted to last years riders who supplied an envelope. This year the club has been fortunate enough to secure sponsorship from Manhattan Motorcycles of Sheffield and we have used this as prize money. www.manhattan-motorcycles.co.uk To encourag…
