Over the years I have seen a decline in the entries to all Midland Centre Trials, at club and centre level...WHY !? I ask myself. In the 90's you had 60 - 100 riders without fail at all trials, whether closed/road/club/Centre. Get a National and 100 plus. What's the answer????? With the interest shown this year I can see only one or two centre events taking place..........look at the Group Trial Series, pathetic!

Hi, I have wanted to motoride trials for ages but it always seemed to hard to get started, I ride a bit of biketrial now. I have never ridden a motobike and am not sure what the best route is. Should I do a cbt or a licence and learn to ride a normal motorbike for a year ? then get a trials bike and join a club ? Or are there places that offer tuition / training to completely new riders? I think there is a club near me I found on the ACU site (I live in bournemouth). I have a car and a garage so I could maybe get a trailer? any help at all is appreciated!

I know this topic has come up before, but I can't remember much about it. So I will start it all over again. With all the problems that trail riding is facing at the moment, I am thinking of selling both my Trail bike and my Trials bike and putting the money torwards a new Trials bike. Probably a Mont 4RT. What I am thinking of doing is on the odd occasion that I might still be able to go trail riding using the Mont. I was thinking of changing the gearing for trail riding by just going up to a larger front sprocket. I heard strories from the 6 day last year of Monts doing 50mph on the roads last year with standard gearing. If you can get that kind of speed out of one the…

For the last 2 month iv looked everywhere for a copy of trialsworld, only to be told today that it is no longer published. I hope this is not true as it is the only mag dedicated to trials in the uk. Can anybody shed any light on the subject.

Any chance of a clubman route on the Colmore next year. I rode last year, and found it to hard. I was secretly quite happy when I ran out of petrol and got overtaken by the people pulling up the pegs. I would like to ride again this year, as it is by far the nearest national to me, but will have to give it a miss if it's just one route if I am being realistic. It wasn't a Novogar round last year, so could it possibly go to 2 routes?

Both Cheshire & North Wales centre trials are cancelled this weekend, 8th July due to the farmers concerns about damage to the fields used for parking. The Congleton trial was the thrid round of the centre adult chamionship as well.The other trial was the Cheshire youth event.

Hi All, I think I need a change of bikes. My Rev3 is OK, but getting on a bit and to be honest, I've had enough of trying to get decent, non-binding brakes. I know all the potential Beta issues, but if I change manufacturers, what are the known issues with the others? I accept that each make has strong and weak areas, but don't want to inherit a particular problem that I can't happily deal with. So, Scorpa, Sherco and GasGas. What are their specific weak areas? Is anyone on here doing the Sphinx Long Distance Trial this weekend? Has anyone done it before? A mate and I have entered on Honda C90's for a bit of fun, so dont laugh at us ! Are we going to get around? Not that I mind if we dont really. But I would like to get a few 3's rather than just straight 5's.

hi, ive just bought myself a gas gas jtr250 as a first trials bike, im after some help in setting it up. firstly what tyre pressures should be run front and rear? im starting to play around in the yard tryin to sort my balance out and learnin to hop but i find it very hard to get it to leave the ground. is it best to have the front shocks set more to hard or soft to make this easier? at the minute there almost all the way to soft, thanks

Can anybody confirm the venue of the above trial? It says on the Nene Valley website that it's at Cranford Firs, but a couple of my friends are convinced it's at Glendon Quarry. Would like to ride, so don't want to turn up to the wrong venue. Cheers Dave

Just got entry list for Sidcup 60 and Sams on a Beta

Hi all just joined and need help to identify my Ossa 244 1980 the engine and chassis numbers are matching. The chassis is B700070. The bike is fitted Akront gold wheels but has a silver frame with white tank and plastics with Mick Andrews stickers. Any help would be appreciated as I want to rebuild it as it should be.

I am looking for somewhere to practice and I'm told that Hawk's nest off the Leek/Buxton road is somewhere you can use. What's the best way to go about using this place. Is there a phone number to ring or do you just turn up and pay? Cheers, Glenn.
