I would like to thank the Sunbeam MCC who put on the Star Group Trial at Bagshot South on Sunday. The event was extremely well organised. I would especially like to thank the observers who braved the cold and non stop rain all day. Not one of them seemed to mind. In fact I was even cheered on a few times threeing up hills even after my body said otherwise. The sections, whilst a little testing at times were well received by everyone I spoke to. All in all an excellent trial that catered for every conceivable type of bike and rider. Well done Sunbeam. Al

i noticed today, when i was watching the x trials in sheffield that on a certain obstacle most of the riders would roll backwards but in the rules i read it says if you go backwards then it is a five, is it different rules for the indoor trials than the out door.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding the world of trials. I love all disciplines of motorcycle sport and hold a full uk bike licence, however, I wouldn't entertain another sports bike. My current hobby is motocross, I only ride for fun and would class myself as an average rider. I crashed my bike at the weekend whilst on the track and luckily didn't break anything but I have severely bruised myself, I'm self employed with a busy schedule so I can't afford to be off work because of my hobby. I've had a little play on a trials bike but nothing serious. I suppose my real question is, appreciating that all disciplines carry the risk of injury, would trials be a…

Having been incredibly impressed by the amount raised by Richmond's 2005 Scott Trial (as detailed here) I'm determined to do what I can to get a Trials Central Charity Team together to support their 2006 event. It's been talked about before, but never followed up on. This time I'm serious and will devote the time and effort into making it happen. We've got a number of riders on these forums who may feel that the Scott, overall is just too much, but as part of a charity relay team could have a great day being part of the toughest one-day Trial in the world and also do a lot of good for the Scott Charities at the same time. Via the site I think we could do okay on the fun…

I may have missed something, but i thought that outside assistance wasn't allowed at the Scott? Hence why do Dibs' and Shirty's reports both openly talk about changing wheels? Mr Jarvis was excluded a few years ago for an alleged bike swap. Whilst we're on the subject, my wife and my Mum walked the 1/2 mile or so along with our 3 kids (2 of whom pre-school) to see me at the final petrol check, where I am told there were multiple signs up stating "no vehicular access", so imagine their surprise to find a whole host of factory vans at said petrol check...presumably awaiting with fresh bikes/wheels to save the riders the bother of having to change front wheel punctures etc…

Sold our GAS GAS JTX 200 a few years ago and got a YZ250 instead. But we only use it for fields & woods riding but it is hungry on fuel. Only sold the GAS GAS because getting parts seemed difficult waiting weeks for basic parts. So.........I prefer the trials bike for the type of riding I do and also they do a few compitions near by so I could always use it for proper events. BUT........what to get? The GAS GAS was a good bike it had some use with three of us sharing the ride and mechanically it never let us down. I have seen a Gas Gas TXT 250 1999 for sale local but I don't want to buy it if they are not strong or can't get parts readily. Where is a good source…

Are BSSA (East Midland) still active, they have a trial listed for this Sunday 23rd November on the ACU events calendar but I cant find anything in the Press or Online detailing the Event any help please.

  20. I'm considering giving a trial another go. What trials are coming up in the north east that would be a good choice? Either this weekend or November. All I can see in the calender is a trial at Buttsfield Quarry but I think that's the last trial I entered. Two areas between sections were beyond me, fatigue was followed by crashes and the result was going home on lap 3 unfit ride for a month, that's really not what I'm looking for.
