I have 2 foster kids,9 and 11 year old who are interested in doing trials, or maybe they just want to ride motorbikes as l do. I have found a place, that is way up north which looks ideal, but means loads of driving to get there, as l am on the south coast. So may take the fun out of a weekend away, 10 - 12 hrs driving Looked on the web, no joy for South East, looking for something within a 3hr drive out of Worthing. So does anyone know of a place, they can give trials a go, before l invest in bike/bikes for them. Or should l just invest in a bike and teach them myself Thanks.

Myself and 5 others did a days training at Stu Days trials school yesterday, what a fantastic day it was. I only got a bike at the end of January so didn't have much experience, but the day started with the basics and by the end we all left with much more confidence and a real understanding of how things should be done not how we think it should. Stu is a brilliant instructor, his whole set up on his land is superb, you get a proper home cooked lunch, unlimited drinks etc, he even topped up our tanks at lunch time even though we had taken our own bikes, but the other big plus is the terrain, it's so varied and challenging. I ache today like a bitch and I've got a swollen …

The "Latest Events" search on the ACU website for trials does not seem to be working. There is a message saying "There are currently no future events ..." Anyone know why? Thanks

I've just sold my Beta Evo 250 2009 which I thought was a cracking bike. I was thinking of going for a newer 2012 Beta Evo, again 250 2stroke. Are there any problems that I should know about? After replacing my frame on the 2009 model I want to avoid another problem like that. All I want is a reliable bike that will start when I want it to - is another make better? I had a 97 gas gas before that and that was a pain to start. I thought about getting a Scorpa 250 before the 09 Evo. What ever I go for will not be ridden hard (well not for a couple of years yet) Thanks

EVIDENCE SOUGHT ON GREEN LANES The CLA in the North is asking to hear from members with experience of vehicles, such as 4x4s and motorbikes, using green lanes as the Government sets up a new working group to look at the issue. The Green Lanes Environmental Action Movement (GLEAM), which is expected to be represented on this group, is seeking information about problems in as many areas of the country as possible to convince both the Government and potential allies on the group about the seriousness of the issue. If you have any examples of problems with green lanes, please email xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxx.org.uk and we will pass this on to GLEAM. Please send: · Digital…
