Hello all I am new to trials after competing in my first trial with waltham chase club on the 20th may The Hobnail Trophy Open trial Steep Marsh. I am looking at doing the Penselwood trial with the Blackmoore vale club but I can't find any reviews for this ride. So am looking for any reviews for the ride and what it is like? I am a beginner so only ride the yellow routes at the moment and wonder if the ride would suit me. Many thanks chris

Sorry to hear of Vic's passing recently, great loss to Trials and West of England MCC - a true trials stalwart http://www.westofenglandmc.co.uk/ I first met him over 30 years ago, as a schoolboy trials rider and rode many Trials in WEMC and also watched the many rounds of British Trials champs that he organised from Liverton and also as a 12 year old, I watched the World Round he brought to Devon in 1977 or 78 I remember him on his fruit and veg stall in the Pannier Market at Newton Abbot on a Saturday, when I was a kid He was WEMC and will be sadly missed Proper gentleman

Hi All, New bloke here! I'm <almost certainly> going to return to the fold after a break of 10 years or so. I can no longer fight it... I plan to practice little and ride a trial every 3 weekends or so, depending on what's on in the 50 mile radius of my home near Cambridge. Back in the day that was Cambridge Matchless events, Nene Valley and Peterborough at Stibbington (probably my favourite trial for it's compactness and friendliness). I'm not about to go mad and cheat by practicing much (ahem), but I would like to get myslef (and a mate who is new to the sport) up to speed before clogging up the sections with my fat self heaving a bike out of the hedges. Anyon…

Its with great regret that we have unfortunatly had to cancel the Wye valley trial at bowely this Sunday due to the amount of rain weve had this week. Having been up there yesterday to look around the venue the field is far to wet for parking, and the river is in flood making some of the sections inaccessable. We dont want to upset any landowners by ripping up there ground so we decided to cancel it. Mal

Hello, My wife and I will be visiting Cornwall, from the US, this fall (9-22 Sep). I've tried searching this and other UK Trials websites to see if there is a Trials competition being held in Cornwall during this timeframe; but have not come up with any positive results. Alice and I both ride on and off-road. I'm a MSF DirtBike School and StreetRider Course instructor. I'm trying to convince her that trials would be a fun thing for the two of us to do together - and observing an event for a few hours (or participating in a day of training) during our UK holiday may just do the trick. So, any information on a Trials event or training opportunity in Cornwall during mi…

Much diplomacy post the first round from the published statements by riders and importers. Plaudits to the organising club and all those who travelled a LONG way to ride. When was the last time a BTC round had that many starters? That alone has to stand out as a mjor positive The 'official ' comments suggest that it was too 'easy' as the top lads dropped less than half a dozen.. have they perhaps grown complacent and expect to be able to drop 20 or 30 and finish in the top three ( how many other trials this weekend were won by riders dropping about 3.. most i would think) the lads and lasses dropping 100+ perhaps didnt think it was 'easy' one thing is for sure, if nati…
