I would like to do some trials near the new forrest when visiting family, I will be based just down the road from the sammy miller museum, can anyone recomend some good trials / clubs in this area? I am from the south midland centre (hertfordshire) and normally ride expert so am looking for similar level trials. Cheers, Lennie.

Back in 2001 I got one of the first Gas Gas Pamperas. A handy bike - I still ride the second one I bought. The first trial I rode on that was the North Berks Club's Downland Trial. A traditional one lap road trial with sections ideal for the Pampera. Pretty sure I've ridden this event every year since then. Some years I

Does anyone have a list of dates for the North East Centre Championship rounds in 2012? It appears as though I have been downgraded to novice, so want to make sure I ride a few of these championship rounds this year. Thanks Kirk

Come on lads and lasses, the first UK National of 2012 is a week away and what's goin on with your entries? With just under 40 so far as I write this its unbelievable, Do you want Nationals or not? The Vic Brittain is a well established road trial around Shropshire and uses proper traditional terrain and sections, but just look at the interest...................... Do you just want closed circuit 10 section - 4 lap trials? Entries will close 1st post on the 3rd January 2012.

PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK - STRATEGY FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF RECREATIONAL MOTORISED VEHICLES IN THEIR USE OF UNSEALED HIGHWAYS AND OFF-ROAD Anyone who lives and/or rides in the Peak District National Park may want to have a look at this http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/looking-after/consultations I’m with Manchester 17 MCC who are members of Peak & Derbyshire Vehicle User Group (PDVUG). Man17 run both private ground trials and trials that use the green lanes. We and PDVUG are both responding directly. You may want to consider doing the same. Any comments have to be submitted to this PDNPA email address by 15 January 2012. At first sight it’s mostly about green la…

Go easy on me guys if my ignorance of the answer is obvious in the question...if you know what i mean What are my costs going to be once i have my bike? Join a club...get acu licence and just the cost of trial on the day? is that pretty much it? Is it a necessity to join a club or join acu ? I only done 1 trial too many years ago and if i remember correctly i just turned up and paid to ride??? Im not being a cheapskate as i fully intend to join my closest club(if they'll have me ) I'm just a little confused with all the acronyms and the like. thanks in advance

Hi Guys, well i have just sold my trusty 03 Sherco 290, I just got my best result in a local boxing day trial so I thought it's time to treat myself, I had no idea which way to go, I wasn't to keen on the sherco been 5 speed, massive step from 3rd to 4th so that sort of put me off the sherco's, Anyway I have dived in a bought a 2011 Beta 290, 8 months old and road registerd, I think I got it cheap

US. Everyone keeps going on about the youth being the future of our sport and we should satisfy their needs, concerning the rules, stop or no stop. I disagree, it's not the youth that are the future, it's anyone new to the sport, or who comes back into it, what ever their age or sex. I wasn't a young rider when I started, my parents couldn't afford it, I got into trials when I was about 26, after riding road bikes since the age of 16 (my only transport for 10 years) I was always keen on motorcycle sport and watched scrambles down at Matchams and Trials in my local area of Ringwood as a young lad and road racing whilst serving in the Airforce in Germany. I had a few tr…

Just for the sake of discussion and comparison I thought I would throw up the recently released schedule for the upcoming year in the Texas State Champ rounds. Yes, there are a lot of Classes, yet other than the very young on pushbikes and small wheel (Cadet), it breaks down to three lines of difficulty for the AM riders, then another three for the PM riders(which may overlap), and as we have no volunteer observers per se, many are chosen to score for the opposing group. Simple as mud! 2012 Texas State Series of Observed Trials Schedule: Rounds 1-2 Feb 18-19 CTTA Austin City Park Austin, TX Rounds 3-4 Mar 17-18 NTTA Red River M/C Park Bulcher, TX Rounds 5-6 Apr 28…

3rd December about 4 in the morning two thirds of "Motorsport Mondial" was devoted to the "Mitchell" round of the BTC. I got it because we have it on series link for Chris. Not bad coverage either Dibs, Brown, Haslam, Danby and Richardson all had considerable name checks. John Shirt was spotted "holding" a rock in place for Brown and various faces I know could be spotted in the crowd or minding. Not lots of sections but they did have Multiple Camera angles on the sections covered.

Yeadon Guiselel DMC held their AGM last night and voted all club trials will go No Stop for 2012. Also confirmed was two seperate routes for the small wheels and EClass courses. D & C class riders on electric or petrol bikes not quite ready for the main small wheels class are more than welcome to ride the E route until they feel ready to move up.
