I understood from Lampkin that the Evo 250 might not do the distance between fuel stops with the OEM tank. He recommended me to install the Hebo aux tank as a safety measure. In order to practice the same way, I installed one on my Evo 290, and today in the morning I went out for a ride with the aux tank full. I hate it! it might be only couple of pound more but it's right on the front and ruin all the bike handling. Can I carry in my backpack 500ml emergency gas? is it enough? is it allowed??? Thanks for your help! Yoram

Having had his entry into the Ballot for the 2014 SSDT confirmed - Gary "Bingo" Bingley is to make a welcome return to the sport with his main aim being winning th ssdt 2014 over 50 award (as he's 50 in February). This will all be for charity -and he is starting his new fitness regime this weekend with some altitude training in the alps. Please give him all the encouragement we can and watch out for more details - He'll hopefully be back on a bike at the Cumberland Clubs New Years Day Trial. Thanks for now. Word is the early entry numbers are down from the past few years, good time for first time riders to get an entry in, "Mr. Dabster" can't call yourself a trials rider until you have ridden the world's # 1 trial. The whole weeks experience lasts for the rest of your life, get em in, you know you want to, would like, should, could, don't cut it!! just do it.

Best of luck if he's being driven up by Gordon Farley. Many years ago, GJ told me that GF had offered to take him up to Fort William for the day, in GF's new Ferrari. Apparently they did it!

Grimbo has been out on the fourstroke quite a bit recently, is this going to be his SSDT mount ?. After a disaster of a debut in 05, can it turn the tables and be the first four stroke to win the event since the sixties ? right man on it, favorite to win the event in my book. Mont, also in with a good chance with Dabill.

#211 is in 8th place. Nice to see. Jonathan Richardson is holding up well for, what I'm guessing is, top newcomer? And... on a 125? Alexz came on well today. Sam Haslem is holding very, very strong all week. The kids are doing alright. Oh, by the way... Where's Ross Danby?

As of Fridays results, TC member and hopefull "Baldilocks" is hanging onto his top 100 spot by his toenails! In the 100th spot, Baldi is only one point behind Becky Cook, spot 99, and actually has a fair chance at whipping the lass. Should things go terribly wrong on Saturday, we shall do our best to insure Bex follows through with a bending of Baldilocks over the knee and a paddle provided by TC.

Been going to the SSDT a few years now and still don't know the guy who interviews on the finish ramp or in charge of the Mic at the presentation............................ Now I may upset his family, but he needs to retire and talk about a subject and and maybe people he knows because it seems he knows Jack S**t about trials or the people who take part!!! So one of the highlights of the week was at the presentation when Dougie had enough of him took the microphone out of his hand and did his speech.............hell of a result
