All is set for a fitting and dramatic close to the centenary edition of the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) with James Dabill - Beta and Alexz Wigg - Sherco looking the two most likely candidates to lift the famous piece of silverware later this evening. Please use this topic for posting feedback on the SSDT DVD after you've watched it. Good, bad or indifferent, it doesn't matter. A pat on the back is nice but Matt and I would like to hear what you think so we can modify our future efforts if needs be. Please tell us what you like and dislike, which clips is your favourite and that sort of thing. I someone out there would like to do a proper review that would be great. I'd ask Andy to make it a sticky along with the post telling you how to order a copy. HI am looking for old SSDT Results 1992 in particular. I know this is going back a bit but a scanned copy sent as photo would do. Any help is welcome.

I understood from Lampkin that the Evo 250 might not do the distance between fuel stops with the OEM tank. He recommended me to install the Hebo aux tank as a safety measure. In order to practice the same way, I installed one on my Evo 290, and today in the morning I went out for a ride with the aux tank full. I hate it! it might be only couple of pound more but it's right on the front and ruin all the bike handling. Can I carry in my backpack 500ml emergency gas? is it enough? is it allowed??? For the next six days the loch-side town of Fort William and the surrounding Lochaber region in the Scottish Highlands, will play host to the famous Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT). The SSDT is by far the world's longest running international motorcycle trial event and 2012 sees it enter its second century. Today, on the eve of the first day of the trial, riders have been busy making last minute preparations for the challenging six days ahead.

Anyone got answers to Dougie Lampkin's rapid fall to the middle of the pack, score? I'm tending to lean towards machine failure, as the Dougie we all know wouldn't breakdown on Day 6. He'd carry the bike through the sections. Who knows, maybe that's what he's doing to pack on those numbers.

1st, thank you guys. Amazing forum you have here, I'm into reading for few days now. Lots of useful information. I'm thinking going the SSDT next year. My goal is to enjoy the event and to try to pass it nicely. Not competing with anyone beside myself. My Trial skill are novice+. I used to compete in Europe 10 years back on Scorpa easy 280 with Sneezy team (Eddy Moermans) from Belgium (are they still running?), and I even went 2 times to compete in the "4 days of Crouse" in south of France. I believe I have the endurance for the SSDT, after finishing twice the ISDE (Chile 2007 and Mexico 2010) and the Baja 1000 solo rider (23 hours straight). Can I reach my goals? I d…

Hi all, what are the moorland crossings like? how fit do you need to be? are you better being bike fit, or get oot on the mountain bike to build up stamina, both realy, but more fun on trials bike. what training does everyone else do? cheers in advance, bryan.

Having just viewed all the Excellent Photos from this years SSDT i noticed one or two riders had yellow number boards whilst the marjority had white ones. could someone tell me why Cheers

Best of luck if he's being driven up by Gordon Farley. Many years ago, GJ told me that GF had offered to take him up to Fort William for the day, in GF's new Ferrari. Apparently they did it!

I know it's early days but after 2 clean rides can Dougie equal or beat Gordon Jacksons record lowest score of one mark lost? What odds would you get!
