The topic this was quoted from got a bit off track, so I started a new one. I see the info has been posted Brian > http://www.natctrials.org/ I also learned today, 09 will be a good year to load up the kid's and spend three weeks at TTC, with a lot going on from June 27th through July 10th, catching US national rounds 3 / 4 on June 27th and 28th then three days of youth nationals on the 3rd 4th and 5th of July, followed by the youth training camp on July 6th through 10th. I hear for the youth training camp, the kids are provided with food, bed and tuition, while the parents go off and do thier own thing. sounds like this could be the vaction for me in 09.

The US national series this year tried a format of two three day events as the national championship series, I rode the first three rounds, not well enough to challenge for the tital in my respective class so didn't spend the time or expense on riding the next three round's, I would think more than just I did this. Would one week long championship at a location like TTC be better ? say three days of qualifiers and two days of finals, held in the summer vacation. Would it be a better format ?

My son wants to go to the Youth Nats next year. A while back I made a deal with him that if he could clean a particular turn/rock/log combo in the yard we could go. It was a tough section and it took him some time he finally cleaned it. Now he can do it pretty easy. I am just concerned that the sections may be too much for him since he is only 4. Does anyone have any of the easiest line so I can compare to what he's currently capable of? TTC has nothing. Also...whats the camp like that same week?

Seeing as you are clearly backing out of the $1000 bet with your impromptu excuses I propose a new bet. The event: Trialcross Novemeber 2008 The prize: one dollar and a six pack of Alaskan Amber delivered to my hotel room that night. The bet: I will lap you if we race in the same heat.

Hi A few weeks back I asked the forum for help collecting a bearing I needed from New Jersey and posting it to Ireland. I now have the bearing and can get on with the rebuild with thanks to the kind assistance from Paul. Paul bought the bearing from a distributor and then posted it on to me as they are unavailable in Europe. Bearing was to convert a BSA C15 to needle roller rather than plain bush on the timing side. Thanks Paul and thanks also to Darrell Shannon who was helpful but left for Ireland before I could get the bearing to him. The Trials Central Forum came up trumps for me. Rgds Nigel O'Gorman Ireland

Well, I'll let the cat out of the bag. Anyone who attends Ohio this weekend will be in for a treat. Patrick is giving EnduroCross a shot. In fact, they'll be so many Smages on the line, Ryan Young won't know which is which. Get your tickets now! It should be on heck of a show.

It was posted that rules changes were being submitted to the Governing body ( Twin shock/Drum Pre 1985) and those concerned should respond to their representatives in favor of the motion . Also that TLR's are not included . Well...Okay ....ITSA (yeah , okay pun intended ) start . Nothing ventured , nothing gained . I think with the new Trials Coordainator , that there can be improvement . But it takes your voice ! Thought's ?

Bill Smage was kind enough to send me over 90 photos he took at August's Duluth National. He takes lots of photos, often of non-Pro riders, so if you rode Duluth look through them all and see if he got any of you. You can view them all at this smugmug gallery, but here are a few of my favorites. Thanks for sharing Bill! Click here for the full gallery.

What a wild night. Denver was a sell-out crowd. 14 trials riders showed up in the trials class. I'll get more details as my mind clears. Here's what I can remember as of now. Pro main event. Geoff Aaron was top trials-man, finishing second behind Damon Huffman. Taddy was third. Colton, I believe was 5th. And my rider, Phillip, finished 10th. Colton and Geoff got in through the heats. Phil won the Dash-for-Cash to get in. Man, what a race. My heart can't take too much more of this last race in the main crap. 4 riders got hauled off to the hospital, including Dustin Headwall. Possible broken foot. (Get well, kiddo.) The track was insane difficult. In the trials class P…

Hey guys this is my daughter's promo flier for the RBRC. Last year she was the only Trials rider and 1 of 3 girls. She just missed being selected but has been getting real good at sliding the XR80 around and racing some MX and XC. She may even get some RR Track time this year. She is real excited about getting to try-out again. I think the boys are going to be in trouble. ( BIG trouble if they get too close ) Hi my name is Dani Toole, I live in , AR. and go to Wells Junior High School in Greenwood. Because of my Academics, Attitude, and Accomplishments in motorcycle competitions. I am, one of the 100 kids that have been invited to try-out for the AMA / RED BULL ROOKI…

All praise goes out to Beta's Ronnie Commo III. Ronnie made the main event this weekend in South Carolina. Riding two classes, Ronnie logged some 20 laps on the track. His speeds were nearly identical on both bikes. Phil and Ronnie had an epic battle in both the Trialscross main event and $Dash-for-Cash$. Phil took the win in the Trailscross. Ronnie slipped by Phil after a silly crash to edge him in the money race. Ronnie finished 2nd, Phil 3rd. The winner opted out of the main event (why, we still don't know) - opening up a spot for Ronnie. Little Commo III, all 140 pounds (soaking wet) took the big Beta Enduro bike and played with the PROS. He earned himself some va…
