USA Trials

Im looking into starting a club or at least maybe getting together to try an event dont know which needs to happen first the club or the event. In sw missouri their are about 40 maybe 50 modern trials bikes within a 50 mile radius the nearest club is 200 miles and there are a total of 6 clubs within 300 miles hardly anyone goes anywhere to compete they just get together and ride as each individuals schedule allows Questions i have Renting land there is an old quarry which i am tring to locate the owners over 1 million tires burned for over 3 weeks 5 years ago and no one claimed it for years prior and after but recently it was purchased for back taxes. So I have very recently purchased a used 2014 Beta Evo. The stickers on the seat area are starting to peel up in the corners. For the most part, the decals are in decent shape. Does anyone know of a trick to reverse this process, and perhaps re-adhere the stickers to the body work? I live in Michigan and the my garage is not heated. Your help is appreciated!

I just spoke with one of my NATC reps and was told there is more to the 125 changes then was originally posted here. I tried to check it out on the NATC website but it is not yet updated. If you have a youngster that you intend on riding the NATC national series in 07 you need to contact your NATC rep and insure that you understand the appropriate class for your child to ride. I will try and get more details, but there are some pieces of this puzzle that I do not have a grip on yet. Best to check on it with your rep that attended the meeting and get the full story.

I hadn't been in the garage for a while until yesterday, and when I went out there, my girl's 1.25 Sherco wasn't there. As far as I know, it's the only 1.25 Sherco in SE Michigan, so if anyone spots one anywhere near the Detroit metro area please E-mail me at randy.arndt AT gm.com so I can get the police to investigate.

Hello all fellow trials community. I had a 1985 Honda TLR250 stolen on 8/13/17 in the Columbus, Ohio area. The bike was restored with many upgrades and it looked "show-room" new. I cannot express how distraught I am. There are very, very few of these bikes and my hopes are it will eventually "show" up for sale and/or be seen...even if it is years down the road. So, please tell your friends and plant a seed in your memory and if you ever see a TLR250 (not a Reflex), PLEASE take the time to take down information that may assist me in recovering it. gawnej@att.net

I have been working a bit on some new stuff and thought some might like to try! These are Carbon Fiber swingarm protectors to fit Sherco! (and possibly Gas Gas, although I do not have one to try, they may require trimming) and fit flat sided swingarms. I hate it when after the first few rides the anodized finish wears off from your boots and all of a sudden the bike looks well worn! The team has been chosen, Pat, Cody, Will and Keith! Top kids all! There is a missing name, Chris! Florin, that is! I am not sure just exactly how many TDN trips he has made, but a lot! His experience will be missed, he is a top notch guy! As when Geoff retired, I was hoping we would see more coaching and minding from the guys with more experience! Guess not! When I dropped my son off at school today I began talking to one of the moms who's son is a few years older than mine and he races motocross.She was going on about how fast he was and about how he does the big triples and that he has a KTM deal where he gets a bike,parts and clothes and who knows what else.After talking for a few minutes it turns out her kid doesn't even win the big races like at Loretta Lynn's only like top five.After that I had to brag that my kid was a trials national champion.She then asked right away who he was sponsored by.I said nobody.She got this look on her face like I then began to explain to her that they sell more CRF 450's in SoCal in one…

Now that I know Cam 2 has entanol in it I am considering coating the inside of my plastic tank. Any thoughts on whether it would help protect the inside of a plastic tank from the damaging effects of the entanol with one of the tank coatings that are available? The only one I saw was from KBS but it is for metal tanks. Does anyone know of one that works on plastic tanks? Has anyone had success with this? Thanks, Bob

Just a question to think about a bit. I am wondering how important we US trials riders feel it is to send a team to the TDN each year. Myself, I have not decided but I will explain a little bit of why I wonder. I dont know the shape of other clubs in the US but we here in D4 are struggling a bit. We were down by 40 plus riders most of the season. Our funds are getting low to the point that we have not seen since the mid 90s. We are looking at ways to cut costs and bring in a bit of operating cash to keep the club running. The next thing I wonder is what good really comes of us being at the TDN. No riders that we are sending can compete with the top riders in the world …

Apparantly even with the addition of monies from special events and the regular fundraisers there was a Shortfall in sending the Team to the IOM, which for now has to be taken up by the RIDERS! I for one cant imagine that as many clubs and supporters that are in the USA that the riders would have to foot the bill to represent us in the TDN (which they did admirably). Kip Webb is handling the 2008 event but I feel that the trials rider community should come to the Riders aid and help to be able to refund the money they had to put up to ride!!

We just walked in the door from our trip to North Carolina and Tennessee and were very surprised to find not one thing about our guys winning the International Class at the TDN - well not just merely winning, but dominating the competition by almost a 100 points! Well done Chris, Geoff, Cody and Keith. We are very proud of all of you and are very happy you are coming home with the "Gold"! Congratulations to the women who also represented the US: Louise Forsley, Nicole Bradford and Sarah Duke. I'm sure this will always be one of those experiences that will be treasured for the rest of your lives.
