There will be a kids trial this Friday at Butsfield. This is suitable for all ages and bikes from Osets up to 125's. It's all about fun and learning trials with no pressure, so as long as they can start and stop safely they will manage. There will be half a dozen sections they can practice then have a fun trial of 6 laps. After a break there will be some more sections set out for them to walk, then ride then run another fun trial. Results will be both trials combined All in all a good fun day for the kids and a great way to start trialling. We have done some work on the area at Butsfield we use for the kids, so there is plenty to go at - and they will have a great tim…

With the cancellation of Seaton Deleval trial this Sunday and move the Butsfield, there will be a Kids trial running alongside the main trial starting at 11am. We will use a different area than last week, and as usual to accommodate all ages and levels. There will be two routes (easy/hard) so will cater all abilities. Bring the kids along and have a good time !

Hi, I'm thinking of taking my lad to the Youth A & B National Trial at Dob Park on 19th Feb. I know it's near Otley but can anyone be a tad more specific on exactly where it is. Is anyone here riding ... we'll look out for you. Anyone been to watch it before ? Is it really good ? When does it start ? Should we aim for the start ? When is it likely to finish ? should we aim to get there later in the day ?

Hi. I'd like to find my boy a medium wheel 80 but it seems all you get second hand are big wheel versions. My question is can you retro fit a set of medium wheels onto a big wheel bike?

Well done to Dai And Kay Bedford and the club members for putting on a great trial on a great bit of land with a good variation in sections. Yes it was tough, it is a British Championship after all! The breeding ground of future Dougie Lampkins! This trial justified the considerable expense many parents incur getting their offspring there. It can be frustrating travelling to a national and finding a more testing trial could have been ridden locally! It was great to see the top lads have a five without the trial being lost. The hard sections brought out some awesome rides.

The Results from both days have now been posted on the Yeadon-Guiseley Website. My Apologies for the format but that's how they were supplied. You can't see how bad the course was in this format unfortunately. Still I can say that the section descriptions in TMX were badly flawed. The Rain had been intermittant but very heavy making the banks soft and slippy. The first section for example was new for this year and how both Jack Shepard and Richard Sadler escaped without wrist injuries I don't know. The slither down the banking to a 3 to four foot vertical drop onto a rocky stream bed was dangerous. Especially when the boulder in the bottom was taken into account. The ob…

Evening all, Mansfield Maun Motorcycle Club are launching their Midlands Minichamps Junior Trials Championship this year if anybody is interested. Building on the back of the successful Oset trials in 2018 they have decided to run a petrol powered championship in 2019 for riders making the transition to combustion engine machines. All six rounds are situated in Derbyshire and are in close proximity to the M1 corridor with 4 Routes being set out covering all abilities from beginners to advanced. They are also holding a juniors only practice day this weekend at Clipstone for all junior classes of electric and petrols. Thanks.

Hi guys, due to circumstances beyond the clubs control we’ve had to change a couple of venues for the kids championship. Fortunately our first round is now being held just across the road from where we originally planned so the post code remains the same. If anyone is interested in taking part or just helping out please drop me a line. Cheer, BigT MiniChamps Venue Changes.pdf

I think it,s a great shame that the Mintex time trial and the stDavids BTC trials clash as several of the top youth riders would like to take part in both events. I also understand that the Y.M.S.A. have a round of their championship planned for the same day, which will affect entries at both events. There are several dates in June with nothing much on, just a shame for everyone that the Mintex could,nt move to the 27th then all the top youth riders would be there.
