Well done to all the GB lads and of course to Alexz Wigg in particular as he has done the business by winning his first WTC event. Haven't had a chance to get to talk to anyone over there but I am so pleased that he seems to be getting the terrific results that he promised to do in the first few rounds. Good stuff. Gubian down in 8th aswell, even better!

My son has been pestering me for months about a trials bike and I've finally given in and said yes.(Really it means that if I get him a bike then I'll be able to get out on my Gas Gas more often!) Basically I've narrowed it down to either a Sherco or a Beta mini trial. (My son is 5 years old) What's the views on either of these bikes for starting out on? Any problems to be aware of? My budget is around

At our club trial on Monday afternoon there was 70 or so kids riding & only one TY80. I've heard that there hasn't been many sighted in the youth nationals this year either. Is it the end of an era?

As youth riders in Europ are now staying on the 80cc bikes longer than the UK, and the A.C.U. are trying to fall in line with the FIM etc. Would it not be possible to introduce a 80cc class into the youth B British championships from 2007. All youth C riders will be on the 80cc bikes and all youth A riders will be on 125, so there will be less class's anyway. The youth B is the biggest class in the championships so why not introduce a youth B 80cc class as well as the 125. Some of the smaller lads find the jump to 125 a bit much, so introducing a 80 class would help them get used to the harder sections on a bike they could handle before making the jump to 125. Joh…

I installed a 70cc. Hebo kit to my kids txt 50 and it is incredibly noisy. The piston in this kit only has one ring and it seems that the noise is comming from the rattling of the piston with the sleeve. The bike works great though and I am not sure if it is normal all that anoying noise. Thanks for the advice.

Hi, I just purchased a TXT 50 Boy and installed a 70 cc. kit on it. Does anyone know what jetting to use with this bigger motor? What mods could be made to the transmission to make it more direct in order for the Child to get power sooner and not wait until it revs. up like crazy.

The first two A & B nationals have prompted much discussion re time limits, out of class etc. Ithought it might be helpful for some experienced lads and dads to say here how they would like to see national trials set out. As a clerk of the coirse myself and trials national dad in my 5th season I dont want any organisers to see this as critisam as I know that running atrial is far from a perfect science and I guarantee you will not please all the people all the time.It also depends on hw much help you get. Iwould like to kick off with some of my own thoughts. 1.Ideally with 100 riders or so about 20 sections and 2 laps.Time limit 5.5 hours.I think most would agree t…
