Hi There i am just starting to look at getting into trials as a newbie and my ten year old son wants to get a bike as well. he has had an oset 16 but this has got too small or him but i do not know what to buy him next. we want to practise but but also do some club trials as well Do i go for an oset20 or do i go down the petrol engined route with a 50cc or 80cc geared or auto? he did ride a 65cc motocross bike and had an auto before that so i think he would be ok getting used to having a clutch please help all advice welcome as i do not have a clue on youth trials Thanks

My young lad will be moving to a 125 this time next year but I'm already thinking about which direction to take. He's big enough and currently rides an 80 Gas Gas Rookie so is used to the weight and size of a virtually full size bike. But what comes next? Not so much a fan of Beta's, Sherco 125's seem popular but have changed for 2016, same with Scorpa's, who knows about Gas Gas, although I do like them. Any advice or experience gratefully listened to

I'm looking to get my 8yr old son his first bike. I'm keen on an electric bike as I hope he'll get more use of it, due to it being quiet, and I hope he'll take to it better than a bike with a clutch. Can some one please advise the difference between the Beta and the Oset 20. I'd probably go for the Oset Eco, rather than the Racing. Cheers

Hi all I'm new here! I'm a lifelong motocrosser but I did a few trials a few years ago on my Montesa 315R and loved them, all as part of winter training for mx. It helped me no end, and though I'm useless.....I got a bit better eventually! Anyway - it's time to let the new generation take over - my son was 9 in June, he had an Oset when he was younger and he's been racing mx for the last couple of years and is just moving onto a 65, so can use gears and clutch . I really want him to get into trials over winter and we already have ACU licences so sorted there. Question..... What bike should I get him? He was born in 2006 so I'm guessing an 80? Whatever I get it would be…

Hi, I am after a bit of info please, my lad has done 2 yrs now on his 36volt OSET and is ready to progress to a petrol bike, I like the look of both of these bikes and have seen both in action, but was wondering about the pro's and cons for both before I sell the Oset. I Would be grateful if anyone has had any experience with either of these bikes or if anyone knows of a nice 2nd hand one up for grabs. Cheers Andy, Notts.

Have any TY80 dads out there fitted an "easy clutch" or clutch lightener? It seems there are 2 ways of doing it - is one of them better than the other? http://yambits.co.uk/ty80-easy-clutch-p-32444.html http://www.tytrials.co.uk/trailandtrialsuk/prod_47644-Clutch-Lightening-Lever-Forged.html Many thanks

Last sunday my daughter came to trials practice, and has not stopped talking about wanting a bike since after watching my friends daughter riding her beta evo 80. It may be a flash in the pan as kids have a change of heart once something else catches their eye so i am going to hold back for a few weeks to see if she is still interested and if so,will look at getting her started, Thinking of an automatic to start and when she has confidence, change to a geared machine but what bike to start on ??? or should i go for a yamaha ty80 and get her riding a geared bike straight off. she is only 9 so a ty would be ideal size and power wise without too much expense but i cant thi…

After taking my two sons 8 and 11 yearrs old to the dirt bike show, I have decided to buy them both bikes for christmas. I've ordered a new 20" eco for my eleven year old but am on the look out for a 36v 16" for my 8yr old. The thinking is that maybe next year the 8yr old will move onto the 20" so should get plenty usage from the new bike. The question is what do I need to look out for when viewing / buying a second hand Oset, this is new to me and would hate to buy a dodgy bike for my sons present. Any help will be much appreciated.

hello, my son just started trials riding at the start of this year and has been using a beta 80. Most of this time he has been riding C class at local club trials. He is 14 years old and weighs approx. 7-8 stone. He is keen to get a 125cc bike but I wondered if this is to much to soon. If he did ride a 125cc would he still be allowed to ride C class. Any thoughts or opinions welcome. thanks
