Where did Sammy Miller's "GOV 132" come from. Was it the license plate registration or the race plate number? If it was the license plate registration, what country? Thanks

Can I make a 1961 cub 250cc? Can I use the round barrel? Whitch sleve do I use? Whitch piston? Is a 1961 motor strong enough for a 9:1 piston? Thanks in advance from Sweden

Hello! We have recently had a family member pass away, who had an old BSA in the corner of the garage. I'm trying to find more information about it as I don't really know a great deal about BSA and whether to restore it. I'll attach photos. I can't seem to see much info about the engine either to figure out what year it is. The number on the engine itself is C15T 179? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there I have a set of Magical shocks on my ossa that have expired ! I have pulled one apart but have a problem that I cannot get the correct amount of oil back in them . I havnt yet had a response of Craig at Magicals and Iam aware he may now not be trading . Could anyone advise someone who could rebuild them ? I dont want another brand they have been brilliant right up to the point they exploded . Thanks in advance Jim

The existing format of running the Pre 65 and Twin Shock Championships in tandem with modern bikes, has not been as successfull as I'm sure everyone would have hoped. Is it time for a new approach ? Maybe a stand alone Championship catering predominantly for them, run along similar line to the very successful Kia Championship. (We would have to be careful not to clash to maximise the entry.) The problem with the existing format, as I interpretat it, is too many potential riders have to make a choice between championships, and also it is very difficult to lay out suitable multi route sections. I have a few issues with my bike...any help with any of them welcome. What engine oil to use ? I'm guessing anything 20/50w ? GTX although I see GTX is now 10/40w When I went to drain the primary chaincase it had nothing in it....I have had to remove the casing (see next question) and it has electronic ignition...Is this the reason it has no oil...can the chain and clutch be used like this ? Having watched the newly replaced gearbox oil trickle out of the final drive sprocket bearing it seems this is knackered along with the seal. I've managed to reach the bearing via the clutch side, but how do you pull the bearing out....Or do I have to remove the gearbox and push…

Hi, i have just bought a 1955 DMW trials/scrambler and have no information on the DMW marque. I have searched the internet but hardly found any information. I have also rang up norton villiers but they are of no help either. Does anyone have any information on these bikes or know where i can get it? Pictures would be great along with info on an owners club? Cheers, steve.

Anyone planning on riding the new series starting with the Golden Valley Cotswold Cups this year ? A worthy replacement for the Miller rounds, I'm really looking forward to it,a decent set of classes and some excellent, well established trials such as the Sam Cooper and the Greensmiths. A set of road based trials where old bikes can have a day out.

Anyone had any news yet on the 32 rides left this year ???

.. just been informed by by my "Team Manager" that this Sundays Pre 65 Inter Centre Team Trial at Mow Cop near Stoke has fallen to the foot and mouth outbreak. Apparently, several farmers whose land was to be used could not take the risk of the virus being spread by riders coming up from where the new outbreak has occurred.

OK folks, I am now looking at a 1978 Bultaco Alpina, model 213. Will this make a good trials bike? Other than changing the tank, seat and sprockets, is there anything else I can do? Thanks, Gordon

Hi there Can anyone help please. On TC I have seen a natty little item I can only describe as an in (fuel) line coupler / de-coupler. An item that 'splits' a fuel line with a twist or bayonnet action. At the time I put the link into favourites, but since have had computer troubles and have lost favourites. Thanks in advance. I'm going to reduce castor angle on my farm bike project, so...I entered current steering geometry specs into an online calculator (I'm lazy and its quicker) but the trail was a lot more than OEM spec when calculated. I fiddled around a bit and it seems the manufacturers figures are based on having no tyres on rims. This I understand would take out the tyre height variance of different products but seems its not a real world measurement. Are all motorcycles measured in this way for spec sheet? My bike is completely disassembled so can't check for sure now. I don't want to alter frame until I know I'm comparing apples to apples.
