Can anybody advise me on which plate to use so I can manipulate to shape . Thought 6mm thickness but open to your knowledge . Plus thinking of 3mm sheet to make a side panel .

Hi All I'm looking for some help with a 350 BB32 rigid Goldie that was built in the UK in the 70's by my brother Mike Galpin. After he died in 88 I imported the bike to Australia and after it changed hands a couple of times I finally have it back and intend to restore it to its original build condition with a BB32GS motor. Im about to rebuild my wheels with new tyres and was wondering what people do when they run tubes. I have Michelins on ally rims but not tubeless so not sure if I should run rimlocks or not.

Any one heading the Burton trial at Clifton on Sunday?. I am aiming to be there falling off my panther with great regularity.That's depending on if tossers round here have left some petrol in any of the garages.As my car is low on fuel and I will need some to be able to go.

So I finally got some pics of my dad tooling around in the yard with his TLR 250 (I think). I know it is a fairly rare bike, but I'm not sure exactly what model it is. I guess I could always ask him then eh?

Hi I'm in the process of finishing off building A C15 trials bike with later side points engine. Nearly finished need to get a new Carb as I haven't got one knocking around.Money is tight and not over keen on Amal concentric Carb and was wondering what modern Carbs people had tried and what experiences people had? Looking to run a 24mm Carb on an extended in let manifold.There seems to be a lot of pattern/copy Carbs on ebay very Cheap wonder if they are the usual China's quality or are they any good? Any thoughts appreciated.

Recently purchased from the original owner, a 1975 Bultaco Sherpa 250. The bike was registered in Northern Ireland and I have brought it back to England. I have sorted out the registration as it only had the original hand written document issued in NI. So, a new V5C has been issued after DVLA sent an engineer to check it all out. The bike is exempt from road tax and MOT, and as no lights were fitted when new, it does not have a brake light. I realise I can only use this bike (on the street) during daylight/good visibility, but would anyone know if I have to fit a brake light. I have read elsewhere that if the brake light wasn't fitted from new then it is not needed.…

Building a Francis Barnett with a 32A motor and seem to have starting issues from cold. Motor has been totally rebuilt, new piston, crank, mains, seals etc and is fitted with a new Electrex world ignition and new Amal concentric carb from Villiers services. Running a Villiers service front pipe and Alan Wright WES silencer. From cold it doesnt seem to be getting enough fuel, but when you check the plug its fouled. Once hot, it runs and starts fine. Can anyone confirm the best plug to use with this set up and also what pilot jet should be in the Amal. Cheers

Hi folks, I've just signed up to the forum as I'm looking to build up a bike for green laning and long distance trials. I've got a WD B40 frame and a C15 engine but I'd really like to put a Triumph 3TA engine in (mainly because I love the sound of the twins). I haven't got as far as acquiring an engine yet as I thought it would make sense to check out whether it's possible first. Has anyone out there done it themselves and if so are there any major issues i.e. will the engine fit the frame without major mods and is it possible to get chain alignment ok without dramatically changing the balance of the bike? Can anyone recommend a durable fuel/oil resistant satin black engine paint please. I believe the previous owner used PJ1 paint, which hasnt gone hard and appears not to like fuel.

Does anyone out there know how to paint a sherpa plastic tank?? Most info i`ve seen seems to be based around bumpers but not sure it`s the same plastic? and of course it`s mostly American so not sure if the materials are available in the UK. Any ideas??

Just been at the Trialsday.com training course today with my Ossa MAR and whilst i can wholeheartedly recommend the course, the Ossa let me and itself down by dying. It had been starting first kick, running sweetly and i was really enjoying it until it died. It was drizzling, which may be important. Back at the car i stripped the carb, flushed out all the jets and every now and again it would pop or fire up but wouldn't sustain life. Once i got home, a 2 hour drive it fired up instantly. Hi. I'm new to Trials Central & usually ride enduros on my FE 400 Berg but..... I've got a nice little Triumph 3TA which is running a 21" front wheel with a trials tyre. However the last owner did nothing to the forks. This means when I ride over speed humps or go trail riding the front mudguard fouls on the frame down tube. It's hitting hard enough that the mudguard then rubs on the front tyre and has been dented. I know that I could put a spacer inside the forks to increase pre-load, and maybe I can use thicker fork oil, but I don't think this will be enough. So I need help. Is there anywhere to get longer after-market stantions, or is there another Triumph that…
