  1. I am looking for advise on the best way to go about fitting tubeless rims to a Ossa 250 Mar and a TR-80 Gripper. Anyone out there that has done this, which rim did you use? The Mar has parallel hub and the Gripper doesn't, both 36 spoke. I read a post were the poster had trouble fitting a new MORAD and had to fit a used one. Any help appreciated. Alistair

Congratulations to all finishers! here the link: http://www.twnclub.ch/classic_trial_files/..._Trial_2006.htm needs ADSL, as many pics Maybe I will ad later some clips from the muddy section 14 on Sunday... Enjoy it. Riders, for pics in better quality email me. Patrick (Switzerland)

Thanks for all the help with the kickstart trouble i had. The bike is a converted bsa bantam d7 I now have a new problem that has just started this week. After changing the piston rings i have been riding the bike quite a bit and loving it but... the bike now will run/tick over fine and all seems to be good for the first approx half hour of riding then all of a sudden the bike will just die, almost like it has run out of petrol, except that it hasn't. this started a few days ago. normally with the bike warm it will kickstart no problem however once the bike has died like i mentioned above it wont kickstart for a few hours until it has cooled down again. At firs…

Having trouble deciding which class to ride for 2010 do i ride the bog standard HT5 in the the pre unit springer class on the easy route or the slightly more modified HT5 in the British replicas on the hard route. Is there any point riding the bigger bikes at all? or maybe they should have another Unit and Pre unit british replica class on the hard route?

Has anyone had any experience with one of these badboys, got one today and fitted to the Bantam(don't laugh) didn't notice much difference.I tried it in all 3 positions no difference. My friend fitted one to his James and noticed a vast improvement, making the clutch lighter. What is the lightest position of the 3 holes?Thought it was a good idea but may have to mod. the clutch arm instead and reposition the cable . cheers the noo Brian

The Edinburgh St George Motor Club are in the process of fixing dates for 6 Sunday trials and some Saturday afternoon trials. These trials will be for twinshock and pre-65 bikes only competing on two routes and will be run in central Scotland. We currently have permission from four land owners and are hopeful on the others. We feel the classic scene in Scotland deserves trials dedicated to the older bike.Once dates are set we will let you know through the usual means,Get those old TY's, bulto's, fantics and good old British irons out of the shed and come along for a good day's fun, thanks.Tam Dodds

A couple of minutes about her at 19 minutes in http://www.bbc.co.uk..._Fun_and_Games/ I remember her riding Bultacos in the Scottish in the 60s. If I recall correctly she had a shop, the eponymous Sportman's Emporium, selling trials bikes.

Hi All , I've just repaired the fibreglass tank on my Bully after it sprung a leak. I resin coated the inside and let it cure. Having looked up some older postings on the effect of ethanol in fuel, and before i refill it, is ethanol free fuel available now, and what fuel companys supply it, if any.

Dear All, I have an original pre-65 AJS 16C and it seems that there is no classic class it can enter on equal terms from any club that I can find. It seems that the bike would need to be heavily modified to be on equal terms or alternatively just ridden for fun with little chance of being competitive. Whilst I always enjoy riding, it would be much better if there was a class specifically for original pre-65 bikes. That is not to say that the currently modified bikes would be excluded. Simply that the huge gulf between a modern pre-65 bike and an original one would best be acknowledged and catered for. The reason for posting this here, as a near novice in such things, is…

  15. The Westmorland Motor Club are proud to be involved in the creation of the Nostalgia Bultaco Revival trial on 17th June, with Guest of Honour Yrjo Vesterinen. When Alan Lampkin heard he checked his own Bultaco, dormant in the shed for three decades, and with a gurgle of fresh fuel it fired up after just a few kicks - but all the bearings were dry and it had a naughty rattle, a mention to Peter Remington and out came the magic spanners and the bike was soon much more like her old self and ready to ride. That set the Lampkin family thinking so James will be riding the bike under a Lampkin banner, which anybody can join by calling 07761 073368 to donate 100% to Can…
