  1. Hello, i'm from Belgium and have an almost new Beta Rev4 250cc. Now i would like to buy a new Evo 300 4T. I have the choice between the 2017 Evo 300 4T factory model and if I wait i can buy the new 2018 model. What would you guys do? Buying the factory or wait for the 2018. I dont know if the changes on the 2018 model make that big diffecence. The factory will have a better suspension i gues. Thanks for your oppinion. Greathings, Luc

Saw a few bikes with black rims yesterday at the Jack Wood. I fancy mine doing, does anybody know who can do this job. I would need somebody to rebuild the wheels afterwards. An idea of cost would be appreciated. Thought I had read some info. on this site some time ago but can,t find it now. Thanks in advance.

No wonder the job is termed “bleeding” because it must be cause of more expletives relating to blood than any other. I knew it was going to be difficult because I’d already read all the other posts here. I really tried to avoid breaking into the hydraulics but in the end I had to remove and split the calliper to solve the sticking pistons. I tried reverse bleeding: no result. I tried pumping like you would with a car: no result. I went back to reverse bleeding, did lots of tapping on the calliper to dislodge any bubbles, and got the brake nice and low so any bubbles should rise easily. Finally I tried cracking open the banjo on the master cylinder while giving it a p…

I am working on getting a 1999 Beta Techno running that doesn't have spark (I have a coil on order as it tested bad). I just got the bike and the lighting and other wiring has been disconnected. I tracked most of it down and have a few remaining questions. There are 3 wires from the engine (stator) that don't go to the CDI. They are as follows: Yellow - to Fan circuit (Matches schematic) Yellow - to ground (Matches schematic) Black - disconnected on my bike, It appears that it should go to the Voltage regulator for the fan circuit. Can someone chime in if I am correct? The additional 5 wires go to the CDI through a connector and all looks good there Brown White…

Hi all hope some one can help here, my bike has a ngk bp7es fitted but the manual sais to use a br7es plug. I emailed beta uk and they said to use a bp5es or the 7. Said the R ristore is for if your running lights which I can assume the ignition is abit noisy with emf I beleave. The bp7es is a long reach plug where as the br7es is not. I would think the long reach is not correct.

  12. I can see various overheating solutions and a lot of good information posted, but I can not see anything that is related to my problem, so hear goes. I have just returned home after a 3 hour trail/Trial ride. Everything was going well until I had just completed a 10ft steep incline and as I reached the top there was an allmighty explosion of steam blowing off from my radiator cap. It is a real cold day and the fan has been coming in from time to time. the bike has ran well all day and am not sure where to start, I returned home from the ride and have since filled the radiator back up with water/anti-freeze mix. What do I need to check before my next ride? Any help will…

  14. Bought a 2003 rev 3 200cc on friday , going well. Went to ride it today , got 10 mins on main fuel position then starved itself and died (tank was full , choke off) . No kicking would start it. Put it to reserve tap position , runs a dream , for as long as i like (running it on main position starves itself after 10 mins) . 2 problems .... 1 : If i run it continually on reserve it leaks from the carb (might do the famous mods stikied here) (However when it runs for 10 mins on main it doesnt leak ....) 2 : it wont run for more than 10mins on main position. Is it just the carb or is the fuel tap knackered ???? Thanks

I found a manual in a pdf file for a 1999 Techno, would the info in it apply to the 1996 Techno? What I mean is, are there any major changes between the 1999 from 1996 model in regards to fluids and the like. Thanks, Richard

The manual says: The fuel tank will hold approximately 2.5 liters, 0.5 liters of which is reserve. As far as I can tell there is NO Reserve? Am I missing something??? It is a 2007 with an annoying screw in to shut off knob at the exit of the tank. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I just purchased a '97 Beta 250 Techno. I have been riding enduro for 30 years, but this is my first trials bike. I have lots of questions, especially about the bike. I'm in the US, East coast, Pennsylvania. I am having trouble finding support for these bikes here in the US. I am in need of parts and some advice. Hopefully someone here can help me out. The Techno I bought is in good shape and runs well except for a couple of things. First thing I noticed was that the engine will overheat after just a short ride. I noticed that the cylinder was hot, but that the radiator and waterpump housing were relatively cool. (Ambient temp is about 30 F, -1 C) So I ass…

I have a 250 Rev three and the response (pick up) of off idle is very very soft. It there anything that can be done to improve? It does not feel weak in that it will pull tall gears at low revs but the engine just winds up very slowly. A GG200 has significantly quicker response. This is a 2008 with later 250 top end. Timing is on the advanced side. I have run a 28 mm Keihin and 26 mm OKO and it is the same. Jetting richer and leaner does not alter the response much. I have also run Boysen dual stage reeds and OEM Beta reeds but it still feels the same.
