Stolen Bikes

Hi eveyone, I am new to the world of Trials.... & a late starter too ~ Just wanted to inform the Bike World of an unhappy story. On the 18th of November I collected a '94 Gas Gas 250 from Cheshire that I had bought from an online site. The bike looked great & was just what I was looking for. I stayed at a friends house overnight in Nuneaton on my return journey. The horror when I saw the empty trailer in the morning. I had reversed the trailer & the car along side the house so that the trailer could not be taken. I had not given any thought to the fact that the bike could be lifed off the trailer & over the car......... Take notice all other new boys…

Hi all, On wed 29/6/2011 both mine and my dads trials bikes were stolen along with our life times collection of tools in snap on tool box's from the North Staffordshire area. Description: GasGas 321 (1999) - Blue, the tank has been cracked on the right hand side and repaired with that liquid metal stuff and due to this the tank sticker has been re-stuck down with evo stick leaving a clear mark (looks a little bit of a mess around the edges). Other than that completely standard. Montesa 314r 1994 - White and purple, Standard. Any info would be much appreciated we can start to ride again and we need to catch these fools who in all honesty wreck society and stop us doi…

Hi All, One of my customers has had his Gas Gas 1997 Contact stolen. This bike has a poor kickstart and cooling fan was not working so if you see anyone either breaking this bike or looking for these spares please contact Andrew on 07891404777 the bike was stolen from near Penrith/Cumbria. After muchos preparation.......bike now stolen! Gutted! Not even ridden it this year! 320 with 250 head, repaired airbox and yellow nutlock on a few bits! Rear fender held with catapult elastic..........helps with repair bills! YES it was locked.....NO, it wasn't insured!!

Stolen from Yeadon, West Yorks between 4am and 5am 3rd May 2009 Also taken was a Malagutti Grizzly 50cc Red plastics I am the same as Ianb, my 9 year old son is devastated that his bike has gone. Ive had my TXT pro 250 stolen from outside my house in Dry Drayton, Cambridge The bike is a 2002 and is blue but has 2005 plastics and graphics It has JST stickers on either side of the frame but is otherwise very standard If it turns up my mobile number is 0759662450 Things can only get better Many thanks Bryan

A recently restored 1960 Scottish (32A) has been stolen from a garage in South Reading Berkshire Reg *** GWL. Finished in a brighter than standard blue. Any help in recovery greatly appreciated. Theft reported to Thames Valley police. Thanks. Dave

How do I do an ID cheque on bikes in the UK

This might seem like a thick question, I'm looking to upgrade my trusty old Gas Gas and have seen some quite reasonable bikes for sale privately but dont want to spend all my hard earned cash on a bike and find it is stolen, so any ideas on how I can check apart from the obvious like - Check the engine numbers against any paper work the owner may have, ask question on how long they have had it or just walk away if they have no documentation of proof of sale. Would the importer of the model be able to tell me if it was stolen if I was to ring them with the Engine and frame number.

I m planning to purchase a used car so i need to check all the details about the car that i m planning to buy. The main detail that i need to check is whether my car is stolen or not?

my friends gas gas jtr 160 has been stolen from a lock up container in cumbria last night along with some copper and a trailer , the bike is a 1996 model in yellow and athough i dont have the chassis number at the moment i do know the previous owners so i should be able to get it. it has the usual scars but some of its identificating features are the back fender has been bent back and cracked almost completely across and was repaired with a piece of plate underneath and riveted in place , it also has annodised bar clamps , the stopwatch in the tank plastic is missing , the front brake is rubbish , the engine makes a clicking noise when running like the kicksta…

Right then here's the story, In jan this year I got sent on a 6 week course at marham In Norfolk, as it's I'n the middle of no where and over 1000mile round trip to get home at weekends I decided to take the trials bike and ride with a few mates based In Lincolnshire. Organised to ride a Lincoln trial with my mate, as I used to be based in Lincolnshire I knew quite a few of the guys at the trial, whilst sitting in a q I asked one of the guys who owns a bike shop if he had any 250 4 banger Enduro bikes in, he said no, but another lad who I know said his mate had a yam wr 250f for sale, I got the sellers details after the trial and phoned him. If anyone was up backcowm today and found a pair ofalmost new trials boots,please contact me on 07846592105.I left them by the side of the car.I rung up backcowm 40 mins after leaving,they said they would have a look,but it looks like somebody has taken them,as they havnt rung back.
