The first ever Ymir trials event is in the history books now and from all accounts it was a great time had by all. The weather was perfect for both days and the evenings cool for hanging out by the camp fire. The Saturday trail ride saw about a dozen riders in two groups and we all got to see some spectacular scenery. We had twenty two riders registered for the competition and six for the little wheels event. A huge thanks to Pete and Zoe Bustin for hosting the event and thanks again to all people that helped out with scoring, trophies, food, firewood, photography, taking down the sections, the trail guides and Main Jet Motorsports. Thanks so much to you all!! And …

The first two rounds of the new WEC Canadian Championship Trials Series were held on the May long weekend in Summerland BC. - With 54 riders on Saturday, 55 on Sunday and 11 for the Vintage on Monday, a good time was had by all. The winner of the Champ class on both days, was Steve Foord, who recently emigrated from the UK - Steve was well known as a minder for both Graham Jarvis and Sam Connor. - The Sherco rider soon adapted to the Canadian terrain, and beat out the top riders from Vancouver and the West coast. Pics and full results can be seen on www.outlawtrials.com.

The 2010 Outlaw Trial is now in the History books - The 23rd running of this annual event saw 45 riders out on the two days of action in the Okanagan Valley, near Summerland BC. With the Vintage on Saturday, and the Modern on Sunday. The 20km loops on Sunday, had two loops of 20 sections for Expert/Advanced riders, and 15 x2 for the other classes. - An early morning rain shower made the rocks slippery, but they dried out for the second loop. Brandon Wince of Kelowna beat out Stan Bakgaard for the Expert win on the tie break, with Steve Foord in third place. Full results can be seen by clicking on www.trialscanada.com.

After the very successful 2015 BC Provincial Trials Championship took place this year, with record turnouts at venues like Squamish, the participating clubs are please to announce the schedule of events for 2016. We are proud to include a new venue and club for next year, and welcome the South Okanagan Dirt Bike Club. This will see member Ricky Styles and his crew treat all of the riders to a much welcome return to an important part of the province, and an opportunity to show off the clubs great riding in the OK Falls area. Being a 2 day event also distinguishes a great chance for the riders to enjoy some excellent terrain, but also take advantage of some good fun. The Sa…

The Canadian Trials season is now over, and one name that dominated the Intermediate class, is that of Matt Fracy, son of former Canadian Champ Steve Fracy. - Although only 12 years old Matt won his class in all of the Vancouver Island events, plus the WEC Canadian Intermediate Championship - add to this a second place overall in the PNTA Series, and it is obvious that this young lad is a star of the future.

  17. I am extremely excited to announce that we have arranged to have James Dabill and Jack Price to come to Ioco BC on August 5-6 to host a 2 day trial school. This is the weekend after the TrialGP event in Arizona USA. This is a chance of a lifetime to have 2 riders of this caliber in our backyard to train with and ride with. All the details will be available soon on the club website where riders can book their spot. They wont last long so I advise to jump at it right away. www.trialsbc.com

Hi folks, Thought I'd post-up and say hi to my fellow Canadians. I'm just getting re-aquainted with the sport - I used to have a TY80 when I was a kid in the UK almost 30 years ago. Haven't riden a trials bike since then - but just picked up a 1993 Beta Gara 260 to play around with. I'm going to teach my little dude how to ride his XR50 next year and thought a trials bike would be the ideal machine to putt-along side him. I'm also interested in finding out about trials clubs in south-western Ontario and possibly competing an an easy class - once I have mastered the basics. I'd be interested in getting in touch with anyone who lives in the Oakville / Burlington area. Ri…
