I have recently come into possession of a 240 Fantic and the Skid Plate is missing, does anyone happen to have or know of one lying about in someones collection of spares that they would be willing to part with. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hi, does anyone know if the mix screw on the carb screws in or out to lean off the fuel on a Fantic 205? also what fuel/oil ratio should it run on? Thanks, any info appreciated

hi ive just got a fantic of my mate ive images in the attached album. Im having trouble fitting the bearing to the bottom yoke, has anyone got any tips, its real tight and i dont wat to damage the finnish of the yoke. its properly pi**ing me off now.. Bearing i a 32005,

Having a few problems setting up dellorto phbl 26, information i have is: 24mm float height, 70 choke valve, 200 float needle, 44 pilot jet, 108 main jet, not sure what needle it should have or which notch in needle to use. Have been told 2.25 turns out for base setting on mixture. any help or information welcomed. thanks

Part way through the trial on Saturday I noticed that my Fantic 200 was sitting more upright on the prop stand and I had to be much more selective about choosing the right place to park up. I think this coincided with the bike falling over because the prop stand sunk into the ground. My first thought was that the prop stand had bent as it has always looked pretty flimsy. On removing it though, the weight indicates that it's more sturdy than I thought and there is no sign of kinking or damage to the paint. The attached image shows it with the pivot axis horizontal. So I found this fantic that needs some work for pretty cheap near me but looking for as much info on it as possible. He claims its a 1990 240? but think if he has the year right it'd be a 247? Looking for confirmation on the model and any info on it such as part availabiltity.

I just purchased a Fantic 240 trials that I intend to do a full restoration on. The bike came with NOS Marzochi shocks on the rear. are these worth keeping or should I replace with a more modern setup like Rockshox's?

A long shot but just wondering if the above bike is still about or owned by anyone on here. It was my first trial bike that I bought off Carl Baker and rode in Manchester 17, Macc & Hyde trials in the very early 80’s. TIA.

Hi there just got a307 i think[ white and fluro red with upside down forks ] and wonderd if anyone knew where i could get a workshop / repair manual from as i am planing to enter a few local trials and need to get the bike up to scratch . Does anyone out there have a wiring diagram for a 240 Fantic?? I have new stator coil and flywheel, and HT coil (via r2w). The entire system is new but I still have no spark! Hi All, I think it is, but is the 303 cylinder/and cylinder head the exact same as a 300 cylinder head? My 300 head has broken fins but have a great 303 head so just wanted to check!!!

Anyone know of a lighter clutch spring that will work in a 240? I wonder if Fantic 200 springs might work (diameter / length)? I have a short extender on my clutch arm, just wearing my hand out during a long trial... thanks

My son is in the process of fabricating a new silencer for me, and although he has plenty of experience with car, train, bus and tram silencers and could wing it - he doesn't know about two stroke stuff and I want to get it right. So, Has anyone got a modern (WES type) silencer for the 240 that they have repacked? If so, could you send me a rough drawing of the internals baffle / packing setup so I can obtain a similar performance. Plus, does fitting a modern non standard silencer entail a carb jetting change etc?

my 240 clutch seems to need a pretty good pull on the lever to operate it, not having another to compare to, is this normal fare on a 240? or can something be done to make the clutch lighter to use at the lever? Although its not as bad as the 348 cota.!!! cheers S.M.
