OSET Electric Trials Bikes

Hi has anyone got a wiring diagram for a 2009/10 12.5 oset please Thanks

Have looked at doing the LiPo conversion and just don't want the hassle of managing that type of battery. I recently put a Shido Lithium Ion battery in my KTM Supermoto and was impressed with the weight saving and performance. So, got me thinking I could put 4 x 12v Shido Batteries (19wh) Link here in the Oset 20. This will save around 70% in weight and should also give a longer run time as they are 19wh (Oset batteries are 10ah) Has anyone tried this, will it work? Looking for any type of input from members who have experience of batteries. Thanks

Hi all. Has anyone perhaps fitted an bigger ( 11T ) front sprocket to their 24? If so, was there a recognizable difference? Would like to lower the RPM on the motor slightly for the odd occasions when riding some MTB trials. The idea is not to increase speed so much but rather have less stress on the motor when riding some downhill or level sections. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I think i spotted one of these in the TC photos from the world round last weekend. Can anyone comment how it performed ? looked like the rider was on 125 course

Just upgraded my eldest to a 16 and want to try and smooth out the power delivery on the old 12.5 for my youngest. Slower I set the speed the further the throttle has to be turned to bring the power in and the less sensitivity there is. What's the best way to improve. Kelly controller? Debating lipo for the weight savings when the batteries have had there day. Cheers lads.

I have two daughters, one who'll be six in March and the other who'll be three and a half then. I'm really thinking more of this for the older girl as the younger one hasn't really shown much of an interest in her bicycle yet. Probably a birthday present in March. What's the best size to get? Both girls are about 40 lbs. The older one is at least average or a little taller in height for her age but slender. The three year old comes up to her nose and is stockier - definitely quite big for her age. Just picked up a used 20r(2017) when my kids rides towards or away from me i can see that both wheel are no in alignment. We bought it used with no option to return it. Overall the bike is in great condition and really doesn't look abused. If i had to guess i would say the front fork crown is bent.....Is this a know problem and or something i can fix ?? bk

I wasn't sure if this has been covered or not. At a local trial here in the Pacific Northwest of the States, a man pitted next to me with two very interesting bikes, Naturally, I forgot to bring a camera that day, and further forgot my new "smart" phone is also a camera. I wish I'd taken some video or photographs of these bikes that day...... An interesting thing, to me, was that these motorcycles were both hand built. Been reading the posts I can find about this and see that most are using RC packs in series, which I can do and have done with other electric bike projects. But I'd rather have a pack with a BMS so the cells can be charged and balanced on the bike all at once. What I'm having trouble with is the max volts that the Oset's controllers can handle. Most Lipo or Lithium packs are well above 48v and most peak around 58v and that worries me. All my other electric bike projects have been for 36v and I have sent over 48v to those without issue...but this Oset is a way more expensive bike and I don't want to blow any electronics. My 7 year old getting used to his new Oset.

I have a small display stand at a well advertised Trials show (coming up in the next week or so.) No names no pack drill, but it is at Telford. The stand is not selling anything, it is promoting our own Conducted trials for riders aged 4 and above. If there are any other clubs that run conducted routes that would like a mention on the stand, let me know and I will put up a list. A wee Oset story. My 11 year old moved up to a Beta 80 at Christmas so the Oset 20r was def surplus. He'd been on a borrowed ty 80 lately as a stopgap the last few months and how can I say ruined it and I had to return it to a friend (probably ex) Anyway first club trial I really fancied my chances against junior on the wee Oset. Now bearing in mind I don't think he ever finished a Trial on the Oset as it's on lead acids I thought my 40 years experience would offset the disadvantage of my 12.5 stone. Hello guys, I created a 15aH LifePo4 Battery for the OSET of my son. At equivalent capacity, 10aH, the Lifepo4 will give better autonomy than the original lead batteries because the efficiency is much higher (95% against 60%)... I chose LifePo4 cells because they are safer than Li-ion (no risk of explosion or fire). Now my son can run x3 time longer and we won 8kg on the bike ! Hey guys, awsome content here on the forums. We decided to move from Estonia to Spain and the best thing about this is the weather. Our 3 year old can ride his OSET 12.5R on a daily basis enjoys every second of it. We bought the Oset 20.0 a week ago, and I know its for my kids, but I could not help ride it too. So do not get me wrong, I love the bike, I am just trying to make it more adaptable to my kids' riding abilities. The one thing I will do is add a larger brake rotor in the front as I did for the smaller 16.0 OSET -can get larger rotors with the bridge adapter at most mountain bike stores. The bike is so strong, its like a thoroughbred horse, its seems to have a mind of its own that just wants to go fast. Accordingly, a stronger front brake is appropriate to better control it, and to make it easier for my kids to do stoppies, etc.. In terms of power, while riding it at …

Just curious why this forum is 99% Oset. After looking at the two smallest models for my 3 year old I was pretty unimpressed with the build quality on the Oset. Ended up getting a Kuberg Start and he's rocking it. Don't get me wrong, both are great bikes and I'm very pleased to have a choice of small electric bikes for my son. Just curious if there was some reason unknown to me why Oset seems to be the preferred brand.

I've been eyeing up lots of new parts for little ones rusty old 12.5 ready for the big build. they have just put the prices right up, £69.99 now for a complete fork assembly up from £39.99 before xmas plus the postage of £7 or more. should have bought it all before xmas, cheers oset!

My 7 year old, is after trying his hand at a Trials comp.. I noticed last year there was an Oset Cup being held somewhere. Does anybody know we're I can enter my son in a junior Trials. I am based in the North West Uk. Warrington area. Regards Peter

Hi all just after some advice. My 3 year old has a bog standard oset 12.5. He's doing really well and enjoying it at a steady pace. However when he sets off it is so snappy and kind of jolts him. Is this normal? Or is there anything we can do to kind of smooth the power out?

A (trials riding) friend has asked for any pros and cons of the Oset bike against the Mecatechno bike as he is looking to buy his 6-year old son one to replace his current PW50. Any information would be really helpful.
