**Update - Boost Bikes battery serviced the battery at a cost of £135, after one charge the battery was worse than ever and the owner has basically told me tough luck - for a £900 battery after 2 1/2 years is very poor considering the original battery is still perfroming well** Howdy folks, Recently got my Oset and it came with the Boost Battery and the original, but I am disappointed with the Boost Battery range. Hi folks, bit of a random one here. Running an old 16 24v but using a 36v Boost battery and it was working great until the chain broke. The chain jammed and the motor made a clicking noise when then it jammed. Once cleared, the front sprocket looked like it ran perfectly. Stuck on a new chain but once any weight is added to the bike, it accelerates much slower than previously but has the same top speed (once it finally gets there). Any thoughts would be appreciated....the motor is the old 24v 500w motor, could it just be done???

Hope some experienced help can be had. New to Oset and little electric knowledge, bought a 2015 16R (I think) yesterday and was told the original batteries are in it. The serial number on the frame is 16R4I114 but have been unable to confirm what this is. The charger appears to be original supplied 36W and has three parallel batteries. Hi all. Playing with an idea at the moment, and hoping for a little advice. I think @gwhy may be the man. If possible I'd like to remove the 3 power dials and replace with a simple bar mounted switch and reduce it to 2 power modes. Sort of high/low torque. Does anybody know if this would be possible. And a follow up, I'd like an handlebar mounted battery monitor/SOC read out. Any ideas?. Thanks guys.

Is it compliant with regs (minimum weight , tyre size etc) As a worn out old codger I was considering having a wobble around easy rout adult trials on something really light , and by the looks of them , well capable trailer .. Hi guys, Instead of mounting Shinko 241 19x3.5 tire, I really would like to convert rear tire to 18", it will allow me to find better options for rear tires. I'm aware of rear wheel conversion kit, but it is 17" and selection of tires is very limited, on top of that OSET doesn't have them in stock. We purchased a second hand oset 12.5 for my 3 year old son. It has subsequently developed an issue where is cuts out and we have to turn it off and on to reset the motor when he accelerates hard from a stand still. The bike will not cut out if we hold the back wheel up and accelerate hard so it seems to be a load issue. If we help him accelerate at half throttle the bike runs fine and there is no issue. We have looked at all the wiring and replaced all the fuses on the bike that we can see but the issue persists. Has anyone encountered this issue?

Hi All, New here so first of all Hi! I'm into DH and Enduro MTB so know very little about trials so please be gentle. I've just picked up well used MY15 20R which needs a bit of TLC but at least most of the bits are cycle parts so easy to work on. On my list of things to do is bearings, replacing with some good quality SKF or Enduro. After much googling and an e-mail to Oset who haven't replied yet, I've drawn a blank as to sizes - found some info but it's conflicting. I've got a 2012 Oset 16 24v that my youngest has now started riding. I'm about to invest in a boost bikes battery to reduce the weight and give him extra riding time but I've got a question about the electrics. Is it possible to upgrade the electrics to those on the newer bikes to get the more flexible speed /power/ throttle response controls and the magnetic cut out?

Just picked up a used 20r(2017) when my kids rides towards or away from me i can see that both wheel are no in alignment. We bought it used with no option to return it. Overall the bike is in great condition and really doesn't look abused. If i had to guess i would say the front fork crown is bent.....Is this a know problem and or something i can fix ?? bk

Hi, Need some help with my son's 12.5r, the bike will run perfectly for about 30mins after that the power will keep cutting in and out, have recently done a lipo conversion and there is still plenty of juice left in the batteries when the cutting starts, any ideas? Thank you.

I disassembled my son's oset 16, gave the frame for powder coating and now I'm having trouble assembling the swing arm... basically the bushings are too small for the holes and I can't remember(or find) if there was anything between the swing arm and the bushings... Any help will be much appreciated!

Hi just got my lad a oset 16 fully charged it up all 3 lights on the throttle grip after a bit he stop I noticed it went on to 2 red lights and lost power fast but never went down to 1 red light is this right thanks

All of the media outlets in the uk give different specs for the bike and no one seemed to know the difference between the challenger 24" and the 20" so even comparing wheel sizes was near impossible.
