I had a go in the chair of a friend's outfit when I was at Robregordo 2009 - great fun! I have just acquired my own outfit and am looking for events to ride in the SE of England. I could direct you o a solo trial in my ares every weekend but I have no idea where to find a sidecar trial, I guess it's 'being in the know' isn't it? Can anyone point me in the righty direction?

silly question but a a complete novice to metal work so here goes............I am making some brackets up to fit my trials chair to a bike. what thickness of steel should I use to make the brackets? I am learning to mig weld and can just about do steel so stainless and ali are out of the question for now.

First round of the ACU Eastern sidecar trials Championship takes place this coming Sunday. It's an open trial. The Venue is Poles wood, Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood, Essex. CM14 5TL. Have seen a few outfits around using 09 gas gas. How easy is it to fit the chair to the new small diameter frame of the bike, and is the frame up to the job. the bikes seem excellent but do feel a bit dubious of the bike frame for a sidecar.

Hi, A friend and I have done several car-based motorsport activities together but, for various reasons, would like to try trials on a combination. We won't want to do it every weekend but would like to compete with someone (even though we'll come last!). Are there four or five combination-friendly trials per year in Norfolk / Suffolk / Cambridgeshire? We're in Norwich but don't mind travelling. Also what would you recommend for a couple of beginners? Cheaper end would be good while we see if we like it. I'd like twin shock, just cos I like the look of them. Thanks

Finally got my Beamish outfit up and running (too many bikes to look after!). We now need to find some Trials to ride. SE England would be good an something that complete beginners can cope with! Any help / advice much appreciated.

Hi, newbie here ........ I've been building and evolving a Honda 125 for a year now, not for competition but for getting quietly and carefully around various farms and landscapes. As a solo it's more than proved itself, but a small chair came along and I'm here to look for advice. The bike is a CB125S frame with an XL fromt end, a CG motor and a SL tank. Hi Guy's Well My brother has decided to fit a trials sidecar to the Ariel HS frame we have. To replicate the outfit that I used to passenger. My task in the operation is to build the chair. Have looked up all the sidecar dimensions In the ACU hand book and have used them as a guide to the build using the minimum measurements ,But trying to keep it looking like a Kendall as much as possible. Hi Guy's. I have promised Natalie James, that I will try and find her father Derek, and late uncle Ray's Ex works BSA Victor sidecar outfit. This is the one built firstly and ridden by Arthur Pullman. Derek has recently got involved again with the classic trials scene and spent the weekend with us at Stoneleigh, and enjoyed it immensely. South Birmingham MC are organising the ACU British Sidecar Supreme Trial on Sunday 13th December near Cleobury Mortimer,Shropshire. There will be four classes, Expert & Clubman on modern machines and seperate classes for Twinshocks & pre 70 British machines.
