On my original 2014 Explorer (sold a couple years ago) I broke the suspension linkage a couple of times. I bought some Titanium ones and they were great (with lube fittings). But the company no longer makes them. I suspect they didn’t sell very many at all. Since I like learning things and have been working on Fusion (3D CAD) I have been designing a new linkage. I am basing off 2015 links (larger main link) but going to change to needle bearings in the middle of the link, with lubrication passages. The other ones would be a lot more difficult to change from the bushings, but I can still put lube passages. I have 3D printed the parts so I can test fit and make…

  3. Hello ossa people, I have recently had my 125cc TRI 2013 engine all rebuild because the crankcase was all split open at the air-inlet side below the cilinder. Now I got it back with a new crankshaft in a new case. When testriding I noticed I didn't have power and I can not get the frontwheel of the ground like normaly. I was told by the store that it takes at least 10hours to losen up the new crankshaft so that my horspowers will return to normal. When opening the throttle I notice how the RPM's are slower comming up. Indeed it feels that the engine is so tight that the piston is not running lightly. Mecanicaly the gears and clutch see…

  4. Hi, just joined site and hoping to get some help putting a tr280i back in the mud. I absolutely love the bike and the engineering, but spares are proving elusive! I need a gear selector shaft for a 2011 as when taken apart the posts that holds the rollers that goes in the selector drum on one side has snapped off! Any help pointing me towards a new shaft will be much appreciated thanks guys Pete

I am in the process of rebuilding my TR77 and have come across a problem whilst trying to re-fit the front wheel. The hub/spindle assembly is too long to go between the fork legs, please see attached photos. The only thing I can think is that the spacer between the speedo drive and the ns bearing is too long? The spacer I have is 17.5mm long 20mm od and 12.5mm id, Ossa part no 106604 which I think is common to MAR versions as well. Has anybody got their front wheel out at the moment and if so can you please confirm the dimensions of the spacer on your bike. Thanks.

I need to repaint the fuel tank on a 1975 Ossa and wondered exactly what the white base colour was when new. I went to my local paint supplier and the number of "whites" avaliable is quite amazing!!! I think it should be slightly more creamy white than pure brilliant white but what would be the correct RAL code Any help greatfully received.

Anyone changed the rear sprocket ? I have been told that aftermarket 4 bolt sprockets need some sort of machining to fit ? what needs to be done ? Also anyone know if a 44 rear sprocket will fit onto a std chain ?

Hello all- Is there a trick to reassembling the '72 MAR 250 kick starter lower and upper. The two small springs and bearing are giving me fits. Sure don't need any more of those! Any help appreciated. Herman

Just wondering does the Ossa need a fast tick over like the 4rt? I quite fancy one but I like my bikes set to just tick over. Ian

  10. Hi new to the site, but I have been snooping around here for a while. I'm interested in changing my bike. I have a 2013 Beta 300, but I just have no love for the bike, and feel it's time to move on. I have been looking at the OSSA and GasGas as the main choices. My questions, anyone coming from the Gasser to the Ossa find much of a differance? Plus I have a line on the 2014 for a great price, any major changes between it and the 2015 other than BNG? Thanks

Any ossa fans out there know if theres an easy way to identify the engine size of a 70`s mar. Its been suggested mine may not be a 244 as originally thought but a 310. As the bike is running ok at the moment I dont want to take it apart to find out but I would be interested to know.

Here in the US, 7mm fasteners are not common. Not that I need many, but is there a reasonably priced source for this size fastener. The real oddballs I need, since I had to drill them to remove the skidplate, are the 7mm flush head slotted screws.

Hi Guru's, As I get older I am finding the effort involved starting my Ossa becoming a bit much for my knees, unless I can find a box or a bank to stand on I generally stand alongside and use my left leg and kick backwards like I did with old Bultacos... I have been considering investigating the current crop of 125's but since I really enjoy, make that love, the Ossa (once it's running) was wondering if anyone had ever shoved extra base gaskets in to reduce the compression making it easier to turn over. Note that I don't need it to start easier, it's not bad at that, but just to reduce the effort! I appreciate there will almost certainly be a loss of horsepower …

Does anybody know what the bracket shown in the attached picture, on my OSSA MAR MK3 frame is for? Is it for mounting a horn? If so, does anybody have a horn that fits?

I am trying to track down a bike that turned up at a Dabbers trials a couple of years ago It is a Scimitar Ossa. It was built around 1972 by Edgar Stearn nr Cambridge and was a re-framed Ossa with bespoke seat & tank. If anyone knows of it's whereabouts, it would be good to see the bike again.

Hi I currently have a 2011 Beta evo 250 and am considering replacing it with an Ossa. I am looking at 2011 and 2012 models, are there much differences between them ?. How reliable are the Ossa`s and what sort of regular maintainence do you have to do to them ?. I have read about the re-mapping that needs to be done, what other mods need to be done. ? . I know the bikes are light but how do they ride compared to a Beta ?. Hopefully help from forum members will point me in the right direction, many thanks.

Hi, I've just registered on the site. I have been replacing the fuel pump on my TR 280i and found a few helpful posts here. I was wondering if anyone knows where i can find an Explorer conversion kit. By the way I found the fuel pumps from the KTM 690 Duke's look identical and are relatively cheaper..
