Hello to who ever reads this. As title above i have just fitted one of these clutches to my bike and though has any one used the 1 2 3 adjustment on these. I have just used number one and fitted the cover and before i fill up with new oil wondered about these adjustments. Having to drain the new oil and take off the cover and then have a chance of damaging the gasket for no gain is a no no ergo why i thought i would ask on here. Thank you.

Great day today took delivery of my OSSA 2013 factory Bike has the latest capacitor easy start system installed and fired up on the 3rd kick out of the shipping crate. I got to spend about 2 1/2 hours on the bike today and so far I am liking it lots. First impression is that it is very different power and overall tighter feel than I am used to with my 2004 Sherco 2.9. It's power is very crisp and snappy yet rock steady and solid way down low. I find it much easier to control lofting the front end around and it's easier to hop over logs or anything else than with the Sherco due to the near instant throttle response. Like the no fuel petcock, no choke just fire …

During a trial this weekend I noticed a creaking from the clutch mechanism whilst pulling in the lever. It is also heavier and notchier than my mates OSSA clutch. The noise seems to come from the cable, but I worry it might be transmitting up the cable from the clutch arm ?? Will a cable be the answer to my problems, and is there any way to make it lighter than it is ?

The Gripper I recently purchased has a length of hydraulic flexible hose connecting the cylindrical exhaust chamber by the swingarm to an original back box. What should it be , I can’t find any images anywhere of what original would be. A pic or two would help guys.

Hi, can anyone shed light on my question? Ive an Ossa 250 MAR 1976 model, I’m having trouble with starting it, it was running ok then died, on kicking over the spark looked weak, suspecting electrical failure I tested HT coil which seams ok, I stripped down and removed the stator. I’ve tested this and seams ok no open circuits. I am wondering, as the ignition is supposed to be Electronic, why are there points and a condenser fitted to the stator? Please can you help, I’ve posted a picture of the stator. regards Steve G

One problem after another. The bike keeps fighting me me all the way. I noticed that the screw on the throttle body for the TPS has come loose so carefully screwed it back in but hay ho the thread has stripped so now have to rethread the plastic which has now been done. Doing this i had to remove the switch unit and have no lost the correct position so now have to get it to someone who can reset it. Looking at removing the air filter the air box is really dirty and looking down the throttle body that too is dirty with what looks like sooty deposits on the butterfly so have to clean that as well. How is the airbox removed as everything is so compact. Thank.

My OSSA 280i is close to 100 hours up after two years, which is not high usage. I change the oil religiously and keep the bike in primo order but I do notice that there's a very weird low rumbly whine coming from the left side of the crankcase when under load in taller gears. This is disconcerting and I'd like to know if its fixable? It is not present all the time but most noticeable when the torque is loaded, perhaps its the lower e=rev range which enables me to hear it, or perhaps it disappears at higher revs, Any thoughts?

Not knowing much at all about MAR's I wanted to show what this particular job entailed. I am certain that it may not be of any help to all, but maybe someone will benefit from this small task. As received said sprocket had 4 holes @ .404 & a bore to match wheel, that said I was wondering if in fact the later MAR's used shoulder bolts to attach said sprocket?? Anyway set up on mill & carefully bored to .591 (15mm locating lugs), alls well now. Thank you Larry

late 2015 Explorer. Clutch worked fine. Gearbox had chewed up kickstart idle gear, so Lewisport swapped out for a good one. (Same size mainshaft bearing). Fits fine of course, but now it is like the clutch pack is too thick. (9.88mm). I have another gearbox here (not the one that came out) and I measure darn close between ‘bottom’ plate and hub/inner hub. But the ‘fingers’ do not stick out enough from the hub- so when the slave is activated it pushed in fine- until it hits the hub. Lever only moves about halfway. Ideas?

Fantastic news the ossa is going into production. I have watched this with much interest and it seems alot of money has been pumped into this project. As trials fans supporting this new venture and having the opportunity to add another choice to our bike selection process each year is much welcomed. I hope people give it a chance. Should it live up to expectation i could be in the frame for an new ossa I note TC comments previous opportunies to show the bike was not taken. Its worth the wait i think. Regarding weight im sure bits can be added to meet regulations no problem. Whos planned to ride them in 2011 WTC? Now excited to see one if flesh.

I got the OSSA World clutch springs that are softer than stock. Seems like I should be able simply just to replace one spring at a time with the primary cover off, readjust my clutch, and I'm on my way. I'm just checking to see if that method is fine. Thanks for any thoughts. Jim

Clinton and his tech Matt did a great job last week in Brantford. My Ossa was running like crap and they did a great job getting things back the way they should be.I was ready to give up on it and buy something else.Sure glad i didn't! it starts 1st kick now and with the setup done on it,it is much more rideable.Even the clutch drag is better now because the idle is set properly.

Hi, can any Ossa experts shed some light on an easy way to remove rear wheel? i've done it but its a right pain. If you had to do it in the field it would be a right aggro!! The 2015 Explorer I recently got was worked on by someone that should not be allowed anywhere near one of these- heck any bike at all. Due to some issues from previous wrong assembly etc, I wanted to pull gearbox. There are very small screws with a 3mm allen. Why so small, I have no idea. They are plenty big for a much larger head. Anyway, one of them had the allen stripped by the person, another the allen wrench broken off. Fortunately, I came across this before and the fix was easy. I found some small mounted stones that I could use with my Foredom dental handpiece. I connected up a vacuum to get away as much grit as I could, and made an opening in the clutch hub…

My graphics are all peeling off with old age. Anyone know of anywhere I can get a fresh set? Ive replaced all the bushes. Shock soon to be re built. No engine issues I’m aware of or electrical gremlins. Bikes got the easy start mod and starts great. Anything I should look out for? Bikes still on original chain and sprockets so not done tons of work. Thanks.

Hello. As title i really can not get on with the compression on this bike. Is there anybody with experience with other year modern Ossa bikes that found the compression on 2013 bikes unreasonable to the point of cant be a***d to try to start the bike. I believe that Ossa changed something on the later bikes or earlier ones so the compression was not so high. So if they did how can i change it to the different compression rate because how the hell are you supposed to start the bike again in the middle of a trials section with out putting your foot/ feet down.
