  1. As above, has anyone tried to fit the new style flexi rear fender on the old style seat base? If so, is it a direct bolt on or was there a modification required?

Hi guys, I have a six days replica that i found buried in a barn. After checking the stator, im not sure if i am getting good readings. From blue to ground, and black to ground, i am getting nearly 35 M ohms. Also, could any one tell me the correct size puller to remove the flywheel? Thanks.

Over the weekend the kick starter on my MAR shot craps and quit working. Pull the side cover off, kick start spring is intact and the shaft rotates freely. No metal in the oil. Just isn't making connection to turn the motor over. Thoughts? Can it be repaired without splitting the cases?

I have fitted sealed bearings in my OSSA MAR mk3 front wheel. Do I need to get felt washers for when I fit the wheel back into the forks? If so where can I get them from? Note: This is a restoration I'm doing and there were no felt washers when I took the wheel apart.

Anyone know what other bikes use the same front brake pads as the 15 Factory 300? They do not have locating pins, but rather rounded areas that lock into the caliper.

I seem to remember reading posts here about someone that could rewind a stator for better starting? Was that fella in the USA and if so what was his contact info? Thanks.

Hi, before I start with the big hammer and brass drift is there any advice on the best way to remove the wheel bearings on my bike? I`ve made the mistake of painting them before I decided to renew the bearings Cheers, Nigel.

  10. I recently picked up a bike from a friend that he had sitting around for years. I bought it because it has a very unique rear suspension and I like how it looks. I was searching for some parts and was having a hard time finding info on the bike, any help is appreciated! Here is the info I have: build date- July 75 serial #- 242194 350-tr on the tag It also has BLT plonker on the side panels. Thanks!

I bought a 2014 OSSA Explorer new as soon as that year was avliable. I’ve been riding the heck out of it ever since, some trials, mostly trails. Even some road. I have almost 400 hours on it, so I decided I’d better pop the cylinder off and check out the piston/rings/cylinder. (I also suspected I may have a head ‘O’ ring leaking a little). I couldnt’ believe how good it looked. I’ve seen 2-strokes with 40 hours look way worse. Hone marks still clean in the cylinder, no scoring, just a bit of ‘staining’. The piston looks great, a little blow by on the sides, none on the thrust faces at all. I have not measured the ring end gaps yet. The rings seemed to be a bi…

Dang, heck if I Remember the trick I used when I removed the engine. I remember thinking ‘I need to remember how I pulled this out’. Yeah, sure. I recall it is sort of partly sideways, but I can’t remember if the front part or the back part clears the mounts first. It is pretty tight. Anyone that has done it remember?

Been a rumble / whirring on my lads 280 for a few weeks now which has been getting worse so it's time to investigate. Has been a few bigger bits of metal than usual in the last couple of oil changes. First step is to obviously pull the box. Before doing it I have noticed there seems to be a bit of play in the clutch basket. I presume that there should be none??? Would this suggest a knackered bearing ? If not probably main bearings. Anyone priced the tools for taking the crank out?

I know i`ve probably bored everyone by now but when I removed the tank today I noticed it had what looks like two tank stops on the top tube. I`ve never seen these before and thought it might be a clue as to who made the frame. Any info on the frame or bike would be gratefully received.

As above. Has any body removed or knows how this sensor is attached. I think mine is very lightly weeping and don't want to damage anything to sort this out. Thank you.

Hi, I have a 2012 Explorer and bought the regular tr280 brake pedal. Anyone know a link to any instructions? Or a video? Do I have to bleed the brakes or is this just a bolt-on? I didn't want to start removing things before asking ;-) Thanks!
