Is the paint finish on monty repsol wheels a matt,semi or full gloss finish

Has any body with a monty 4rt had it totally deristricted and if so did it make a big difference

What do you think gas gas will say now the 4rt is the worlds best trials bike there will be loads of people saying raga could of retained his champs if the final round had not been cancelled i feel sorry for bou he has been short changed,the spark has been taken out of his win, When he wins again for the next few years lets hope there will be no contraversy

I'm thinking about buying a 4 stroker any one rode all of the different bikes?? How do they compare??

I have heard all the stories that modern unleaded fuel goes off and has a very short shelf life - I was a ltlle scheptical but now I know its true. Took my trusty old TLR to a trial yesterday along with a tin of petrol from the shed - suspect the fuel in the tank was same age - no more than 4 weeks old. Normaly I give the bike a run the day before just to check all is well but this time was a last minute effort. Loads bike on trailer and off I goes, usually i top up with fuel on the way - dont bother since running late. Got a play on the first one in the US at the TTC weekend! Quite nice! Impressions are,(though quite subjective) quite strong off the bottom, much like the Honda, but will chug down to nothing where the Honda stopps running and spits you over the bars, and still recover with lots of power! After it cought me by surprize and put me on my butt, I respected it a bit more(first to crash it too) after the floater became a flip turn that I was not ready for! Stronger in the lower revs than the 2T 250 I think! Maybe even the 270! Most of the top world riders were in Spain for last weekends Spanish National in preparation for the upcoming worlds I noticed that there were seven factory riders on 4 strokes in the top 11 and only four riders on 2 strokes.

Just read artical about the future of the fourstroke, and wondered what sort of tripe you could come up wi bet it's nowt to do wi bikes

Well here we go pros and cons of cv carbs??? in my experience (limited i know)dont take the top off the carb the diaphram goes in about the size of the carb top,but after fuel has been under it sweels to about twice it size and they where about 50 quid ten years ago,so when you trapped it putting it back in and split the thing it cost loads, will the new beta carb need regular cleaning?? i bet it will. i did have a few little tricks for re assy,but will save them for later..

Yes I have ridden all so far, good and bad within the lot, but one thing is for sure, a carburator has its limitations, specially on a four stroke, it is simple physics, and has all been done before. You will not be able to ride it like a 2T, end of story! It will spit at you, and at the worst moment! 250 cc will work for the average rider, which may just be the 200cc = of the 2T which most need anyway, but Sherco and Honda both figured out early on that it would not work in WTC competition. Reading posts about the new Beta due to be unveiled soon, makes all brands but GG with a four stroke in the works. Any news when it will become mandatory for the world championship ? I don't think Beta are getting the jump on Sherco DP, the 3.2 is one hell of a machine to ride, had it's initial problems, I was able to get mine performing, and the factory will no doubt be on top of the job, Fuel injection isn't beyond any of the factories, it may be the cost it adds to the price of the bike that may be the big factor, you get a good bike with the Mont, but you do pay extra for it. fugi wins again could a fourstroke win the world champs in only its second year? everone was verry vocal when they came on the scene,but now theye are giving raga a run for his money its all gone quiet. come on fugi (prefferably doug but fugi will do)fly the fourstroke flag HIGH>>>

Thats it for now i have tried all the new breed four bangers the new scorpa seems nice (to early to tell )but the sherco was fine for about three months. as a clubman level ride i think the scorpa will fit right in I am finally getting used to my monty (really soft usable power with restictors in ) and the kit is on the way for the sherco ,now this bike is really an expert level bike (to much power for me) Lots of people comment on the noise of the fourstroke have they never heard a pre 65 bike now that is noisey,but i love them aswell
