HI CAN ANY BODY HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM, I AM RESTORING A BEAMISH 250 AND I CANNOT SEAM TO BE ABLE TO LOCATE SOME BUSHES,SPACERS AND PIVOT BOLT FOR THE REAR SUSPENSION, CAN ANYBODY OUT THERE HELP ME. IF I HAD THE OLD ONES I WOULD HAVE SOME MADE BUT I DONT. LEE.

Does any one know where to get bushes for the swinging arm, its the metal elastic type.I am thinking that when the frames were made beamish used what was available like off a car suspension.

My dad got him self a really nice red and black 250 Beamish Suzuki and he let me have a go i was a Bultaco boy so was a bit like forget it but he said its real easy to ride, it just floated around in a nice way and was really easy to ride, for me the bultaco felt more planted you felt the ground more you new what you were riding over, but the beamish just floated up the stream like it was no big deal it was completely different to ride i liked them both

What's good & bad about them and what goes wrong? Found a Silver engined model I'm interested in which is in Yellow and original, guess about 78, when they changed from Red/Black Heron Suzuki colours to Yellow It looks exactly the same mechanically and model wise to the Red/Black ones

IM CURRENTLY REFRESHING THE ENGINE ON A MATES 325 BEAMISH. IVE SPOKEN WITH THE VERY HELPFUL STEVE PITT AT THE BEAMISH OWNERS CLUB ABOUT SOURCING AN 81.00mm PISTON. I KNOW THERE ARENT ANY AT THE MOMENT, BUT THE OLD ADAGE SAYS IF YOU DONT ASK…………!! HAS ANYONE GOT AN 81.00mm PISTON SAT IN A WORKSHOP DRAWER THEY BOUGHT YEARS AGO , JUST IN CASE AND NO LONGER NEED, OR AS AN ALTERNATIVE I COULD MAKE A SET OF 80.50mm PISTON RINGS WORK ON THE EXISTING PISTON SHORT TERM. IM ALSO A BIT CONFUSED AT THE OPTION OF THREE DIFFERENT BASE GASKETS THICKNESSES AVAILABLE FOR THAT MODEL. HOW DO I DETERMINE WHAT THICKNESS I NEED. Im Rebuilding a black engine Beamish Suzuki and i was trying to work out the best way to clean up the fork legs, has any one got any tips please on the best way to clean them so the look a bit better ?

hello, recently purchased a tatty but rideable beamish suzuki 250, have just removed the rear wheel to replace the rear sprocket and noticed that the cush drive part has been welded to the hub and also one of the wheel spacers is a piece of plastic pipe ! I am sure that the plastic spacer is a bodge but does anybody know if the welded up cush drive is a proper beamish modification or another bodge {the welding is good quality which is unusual for a lash up} Also the wrong front wheel is fitted {it has a 7 inch drum which would be great for road racing but is a bit heavy for trials} does anybody know if the correct wheel is the same as any other suzuki models {i was …

How good was the Suzuki beamish in its day, did they have any major successes? What where they like as a clubman

I know it's been asked before but not seen an answer. I recently put an OKO carb on my Cota with great results and was thinking about doing the same on my Beamish. Has anyone done this and what were the results ? cheers

Hi, just a quick question about the base gasket thickness. I have recently had my bike rebored to first oversize. I now need a new base gasket so I can refit it. I have searched through the forum but have not found the definitive answer to the standard thickness of this. It is still a 250 and I won't be changing it back to 325 so it would be great to know what thickness to get. Thanks in advance

In earlier topics some mentioned relining brake shoes, that worked. Can enybody tell me what the new lining material was? Cheers Miked

Did the early silver engine beamish have different brake shoes to the later black engine models?

Hope It's not a bother, but could someone post a photo of their chain oiler adjustment screw? I've put in about 4 hours trying to make one that will seal up when tightened down. Does it have a tapered seat, or like a carb air screw? I've flushed it out and installed a screw just to keep water and dirt out for now. I know there are suppose to be no such thing as a stupid question so if I become a distraction let me know. Thanks in advance.

I purchased a new mag side crank bearing (09283-30006) and it has a metal lip that the old one did not. Does this lip face the crank itself as it appears a bit too wide to face the case, or was I supplied the wrong one? Thanks in advance
