HI Just on cleaning the carb on my 97 mont fitted with 04 carb. manual says 1 turn out, previous owner said 3 and 3/4. bike seems to run well but has a sort of slapping pinking noise sometimes on pick up? HELP thanks Dom

Hello to all, I would like to simplify the oil breather tube system of my Montesa 4rt. There is currently a pipe from the engine rises towards the headstock and arrives in a white box, from which depart two tubes: one is a drain, and one goes to the throttle body. I want to delete everything, and bring the engine vent directly down, mounting a small filter to protect against impurities. It can be done ? Thank you

I bought a Cota 350 from the US about a year ago, it appears to be quite original other than things like mudguards. I'm about to strip the frame in readiness for sandblasting but am curious what these stickers on the head-stock refer to and are they significant and whether I should try and preserve them. Might be something that only US people can answer? Pics attached.

Hi all, has anyone had any problems with oil leaking out of the small hole in the case at the bottom of water pump? I had a new 2015 that leaked after a few hours and now a 2017 that is leaking after about 15 minutes. I replaced associated seals and washers in the 2015 and had no more problems. Wondering if this is a common problem?

Hi all! My first post.......I have a bad fuel injector after drowning the bike in a river crossing. The parts fiche shows the whole fuel injector assembly, not just the injector. The injector looks pretty generic but I can't find a replacement anywhere. The number on the injector is FE26 BBR. Any ideas?? Thanks!

at the moment im riding beta 200 04 which im getting to like but i keep looking at the 4rt which has got to be the dream bike .anyone done a similar change ,weight? maintanance? running costs? ,come on convince me to buy the mont!!

Hello everyone, first thank you for all of your knowledge regarding this bike. I'm new to the sport (although I've been riding motorcycles for 28 years) and reading your posts have help greatly. I'm alittle on the large side ( 6'6" 275 lbs) and I'm putting the bigger TSP spring on the rear shock. However, dispite the fact that I hear great things about the Showa front fork, I would think that I would have to beef up the front forks to? (to keep the sag adjustment correct) I know that a plush suspension is what is desired. I also know that a heavier fork oil can help. And what is the best setting in regards to the round lines on the top of the fork ? Thank you for your i…

Ive only just got the bike. When its cold and i start for first time the engine sounds rattly... it sounds a lot better after ive ridden it once its warmed up. Do they all make this noise of do i have a potential problem? 2005 4RT Jza

Hi guys,well i got rid of the old gasser and got me a 4rt,YEAH,just reading the owners manual is like porn of the trials world!!! Anyway,im keen to buy s stack of stuff from Mitani's web site but am struggling to fill in the registration form,can anyone assist or point me in the right direction for buying from JP? I buy other stuff from JP for my model helicopters and have no probs,but there sites are in English. Any help would be great!! Cheers

Guys, hoping you can put my mind at rest i have an 08 repsol and when it is sitting on tickover the is a definate miss or pop from the exhaust ??? I've checked everything and everything appears OK ?? I've changed the oil's and filter, changed the air filter (new), new spark plug and up'd the idle speed as it was a pig to start seems ok now though!! But still has that noise from the exhaust ?? maybe i'm being paranoid, i sure hope so!! First four stroke i've had and i love it but still finding my feet with the maintenance side of things !! Going to change the oil on my 4rt for the first time since getting it , anyone got any feed back on what the best oils are to use.
