just seen the new repsol 4rt yesterday, open the crate and the only difference is the stickers! you have gotta do all of the upgrading yourself. but there aint half some fancy gizmo's to go with it, the alluminium billet footpegs weigh nout, the fancy carbon fibre bits also weigh nout, and look the business too. however the thing that struck me was that on the case for the fuel injection mapping C.D they call it by its japanese name!!! are they trying to say that they already have these gadgets out in japan? or that a company as big and powerfull as honda could not be bothered to change a C.D cover!!! i know its a minor detail, and the bike on the hole seems just fine, b…

Hi all, I seem to have a little problem with my 2003 Montesa Cota 315R. When I start the bike with the choke on, the bike likes to run at dangerously full revs until the choke is turned off. Is there anyway of adjusting the carby so this doesn't happen at start up? Cheers David

Hi again, My 315 has developed a fault. It will start fine when cold but at standard idle speed it would just cut out, so to counter this I increased the idle speed this works for about a minute the engine slows down and cuts out again. No matter how high I set the idle it still does this. Also sometimes when riding along it lerches on every beat of the engine and cuts out. When I bought it, it seemed to be a lot of oil:petrol compared to normal in the tank and black sludgey oil dripped out the end of the exhaust. Now running on the correct mix this has stopped. I also noticed that the engine-downpipe gasket is knackered which I will replace. any help appreciated p…

Hi everyone and thanks in advance of any tips or tricks you can give me. I have just bought a new 4RT which is an 05 model. Im looking for what and where to purchase the black frame decals and anything else i can get to generally try and keep the bike from getting to many marks on it!!. This is my first brand new bike and and im wanting to keep it as close to that as possible. Im also looking for any top tips on some bling and good maintenance advice. Hi , my 4rt has developed a misfire, if you quickly open the throttle it will splutter and die. If you gradually open the throttle it will rev to the maximum with out fault .It is not the plug as I have tried more than 1 new ones.Any help would be greatly received.

My 06 4RT had a 10t front and a 41 rear when I bought it. I put on a 9t fr sprocket and now my chain is way too long, If I take a link off (which is really 2) it will be to short. There are 3 holes on the swingarm for the round head hex bolts for the cam adjusters to butt up to but only the middle one has a steel threaded insert. My question is can I use the hole that is closest to the axle even though it doesnt have a steel threaded insert? My chain is new and has 102 links

Hi all, after a long search I'm after buying a 2008 cota 4rt, I've only had a small go round my estate (proper attack planned for the weekend) I'm just blown away by how smooth it is, Question is all the stickering on the rear mudguard are cracked and peeling, it there anywhere I can get a replacement? A few months ago I broke the switch for my twin-map throttle body, so I took the opportunity to make a switch like the one on http://montesa4rt.nl. I fitted it for a trial today, but I couldn't tell the difference from one map to the other in the same way I thought I could before. I know that the switch is working ok. Is there a way to tell what map is selected on the throttle body?

Hi All, I smashed my my water pump case on a trial. Does anyone know who would stock them in the U.K? googling water pump case came up with loads of different guards. Does anyone know which ones are most useful? The carbon effect ones don't look like they will stand up to much! Thanks

Any guys got a "factory" Nissin or Brembo front brake master cylinder fitted? Are they worth it? And in your opinions, which is best?

2015 4rt front brake master cylinder leaking (braketech) never had the cap off or caught the brake lever hard enough for it to pop any seals. Break still works and isn't spongey. Its leaking from the tiny hole on the cap (when the brake is applied) Has anyone had any problems with break tech cylinders?
