I bought a battery less Ice Hell in March. Worked the World Round last weekend. My AZ dealer has new maps particularly for high elevation. Would have gotten it loaded but didn't have my scoot with me. Anyone get the new map yet? I live and ride at 7000' elevation. Sometimes up to 10k' sometimes sea level. Thanks. Checking world round was great. Most of the GP2 women and many of the GP 2 men and GP women were nice and thanked us on the last loop. Many of the top GP men and their minders were cheaters, grooming and basically jerks. I didn't give a yellow card but threatened. FIM should give financial penalties and clean up the sport.... End of rant. ;o)

While cleaning the bike (Combat Ice Hell 250) a few weeks ago I noticed that the black plastic muffler cover was rubbing and damaging the fuel tank. When looking from the back of the bike: bottom left corner of the cover. And to prevent a leaking fuel tank I removed some material from the cover and glued a small piece of rubber (from an old inner tube) to the tank . Just checked and no further damage to the tank, so that's good.

So I'm starting to notice that when the bike is warm, on starting it it wants to, and sometimes does, stall immediately after starting if you give it a bit of throttle. It acts like a lean bog from a carb bike. It seems to be less an issue if it gets a really good kick to restart it, and/or you immediately give it a blip as it's firing. Anyone else know what I'm talking about here, or am I special?

Anyone else's front mud guard rattle like the dickens whenever you moving quickly over rough ground/landing the front wheel/or otherwise doing something that causes it to shake? Sounds like it's the front tire rubbing, but I tried shimming it and that didn't make a difference. The next possibility would be side to side movement causing it to rattle against the mounting bracket, but I'm not 100% sure. If it is, I don't really see an obvious way to shut it up.

Could someone take a peek at how much clearance they have between the chain tensioner bolt where it screws into the swingarm and the chain itself? Mine was rubbing, and I'm assuming I bent the tensioner, but I don't see any obvious damage.

Just taken delivery of a new 250. Vertigo have got rid of the 9V battery. Bike was built Jan 2017. Apologies to existing owners, I forgot to ask if they can eliminate this on earlier bikes. Very pleased so far!

Anyone had the linkage apart for greasing care to comment on how hard (or not) it is to get to everything? Were the bearings well greased from the factory? Anything else I should know before I tear into it?

Got the 550 gram weight kit(Vertigo kit). Shifter hits the case. Any fixes out there or am I resorting to grinding down the shifter?

So on the GG Racing models that ship now, they come with a bearing cup in the throttle side to prevent that bar-on-handlebar drag you'd get when doing anything where you're putting a lot of pressure on the grips. It's a nice feature, but if you want to keep it, you can't run bar ends. Curious if the Vertigo has anything like this on the throttle side?

Do these bike run quieter, i.e. with less 'popping', if run on richer or leaner maps? Or does the bike always sound the same at or near idle? I ride around my property sometimes and a quiet bike is preferred:

I've been set on a gasgas but currently considering a new vertigo 250, not ridden one before but have seen a few at local trials. They look awesome, I like the idea of fuel injection and the air filter positioning. From what i've read they look extremely well built and thought out. How do they ride in comparison to the big brands such as gas gas and beta etc? I get on really well with gassers, quite like sherco's but don't like the 3 usable gears as opposed to 4 however have never gelled with beta's. Also, how is maintenance and reliability? Not shy of working on the bike but don't want to be beholden to a dealer to plug it in like a modern car!

Anyone run leaded fuel in the vertigo? Is be a little concerned given all the sensors. I ask because it's difficult in my location to get ethanol free unleaded. The solution to this point has been to mix leaded race gas and ethanol pump gas to bring the ethanol down to 5%. If I can't run leaded in a vertigo (and I'd be inclined not to) I'd have to run it 10% ethanol pump gas.

I know the early Vertigos had mapping issues which were sorted pretty quickly so if buying a second hand 17 ice hell, can I be sure the mapping is sorted? Cheers!

So does anyone have any idea how people have ponied up for the top line titanium Vertigo? A friend of mine has ordered one which started the discussion as to whether he will be the 10th or 500th. Spencer
