  1. There is a kind of vacuum that suck the brake fluid from the '' thank '' through the bleeder, maybe that could help. Guy

    Best shocks

And also the shock work the fork, a poorly setup front end won't give you the ride you are looking for, even if you have the best shock. Guy
  3. That's the glass bead ! Guy

  5. I'm no expert but, it almost seems like the gas is '' force '' out of the carb. Does it leak when the motor is not running ? Guy
  6. I know one person that would tell you to cut it, and he knows quite a bit on them. Is first name is Mick, but I did not follow is advice on that. Guy

    2003 Rev Rear Mudgard

Reggie, you where right, after a few phone calls and a visit to Stephen's place, I have on the shelf a brand new genuine rear 2003 mudguard. It even came with the stickers. Guy
  10. By the way, if I ear anybody complain about the weather in there area, there will be verbal retaliation ! I woke up this morning to find 5 more inch of snow on top of the 29 that we had last week. Guy
  11. Back in the days ( the early 70's ), yes yes, I'm that old, if you where serious about trial, you needed boots. Helmet was for beginner and if you where really serious, you had to wear glove. I was in a group that '' thought '' they where really serious, so glove ever since and it does not feel right if I don't. Of course I learned since then, I force myself to wear '' some protection '' on my head. Guy
  12. The first time I repositioned mine , I lowered them 1 1/4 inch and also back 1 1/4 inch. I'm 5' 8'', since than I modified 2 other TY and did the same, they feel right for me. First few ride, I mostly notice the lower position but I felt it did not made such a big difference. It's only when I swap bike with a friend who wanted to try mine that I really felt the difference. I kept the TY footrest and made them wider and longer, but the back plate look very similar to yours. Guy
  13. Yes the one with the copper washer. Guy
  14. axulsuv do you run straight 100 LL mix 75 / 1, or do you mix regular gas with the avgas ? Guy
  15. Dan Williams, here In southern Quebec, we where about ready to ride 3 weeks ago, now snow, ice storm and more snow, so maybe in a month and a half. Guy
  16. I mix Premiun ( 92 octane no ethanol ) gas 3/4 and VP racing gas 1/4 with Klotz Techniplate 75 / 1 to run in my 03 250 Beta Rev. I was to buy a 20 liter jug of VP for the season before I started to read on the product. I was always told the stuff would keep forever and it seems to be wrong, it only stay fresh in certain conditions. I want to try avgas mix with auto gas any of you tried that. Please don't reply with chemical formula. Guy
  17. 1st the price should be around $1.00 in the US. 2nd, it's not really an o ring it's a '' gasket '' , I have one in the bag in front of me as I write this PN 122-23129-00. It's made of a kind of plastic, flat on both side, I won't take it out of the bag, being so small, I'll never find it when I'll need it. From what I can tell it's 1.5 mm thick, center hole is 4 mm and of is 7 mm. Guy
  18. I don't think that it's a good idea to raise the rear end of a bike to steepen the fork angle is a good idea. When you work on one end of a motorcycle, you have to work on the other end to compensate, unless you work on a really bad handling moto. Guy

    4S/2S

What I was thinking is, if the 4s is better on gas, the factory use a smaller thank., that's why I ask do they have a longer range. Guy

    4S/2S

Again I would like to tap in your experience. I don't want to start yet another pros and cons between 4 stroke and 2 stroke trial bike but I would like to know from experience if a 4 stroke trial have a longer range on a tank. Guy
  21. That technology is already installed on all my trial bike. Every time I fall they follow me, I mean they fall on me Guy
  22. The best kept bike you can afford is your best choise. Remember, a new bike come with a waranty, just in case, imagine a used one. Seals, chain, tire... You'll probably have to invest a bit of money soon after you pick it up. So an 03 ( like mine ) in good shape is a better buy than an 07or 09 that need a lot of care Guy
  23. Oil in the can does not mean leverage on the clutch release. Try bleeding the system ( good time to change the oil Guy
  24. I think Mick Andrews as to be on that list, specially because he was and still is an ambassador to trial. Is riding technique is not flashy but to this day, the base of motorcycle riding. The fact that it is so easy to talk to him and is generosity for advise set's him appart. Guy
