  2. if you are paying the bike in full,whats stopping him from telling you to bugger off at the end of the rental.he could do that and hes got your money and probably spent it by that time.100 percent risky.better off buying an old bike for £500 and selling it,always sombody looking for a cheap bike , even in spain.or rent it out?

    put front bolts in first and lightly tighten,then put ratchet strap round sump and frame and tighten up then fit rear bolts.

    you get a shorter lever on the 09 onwards.you dont change gear with your foot on the peg.
  5. as reliable as any other bike.very easy to work on.just check the usual wear and tear bits.good luck
  6. stick to your dellorto easier to keep in tune,unless you are expert rider you wont find the difference.
  7. evo class is for mono yams,mono fantics etc.really any old mono.

    make sure everything is clean and dry. put a little mastic on each spoke,not silicone.let it set and refit tape.
  9. why does the haggis and the perth national end up on the same date every year.
  10. there is also a evo class this year running along side pre/65 and twinshocks in the scottish trials championships.
  11. braking brake pads,used them for years and never had a problem.goldfren are to hard , the discs wear out first.
  12. son has used shercos for about 8yrs now and never had a serious problem,at championships and ssdt.easy engine to work on and never really changed from 99 to 09.if its not broken dont fix it.
  13. good anough bike with a 100% bullet proof engine.
  14. one in classified. as for taming it down,3x base gaskets, retard ign, slow action throttle.makes it like a 250.

    gaerne is the way to go,looked after and will last you for years.no support in wellies+fellow riders will take the p,,, out of you.
  16. best thing you can do is take them of and throw them away.good on a trail bike but crap on a trials bike.

  19. it will be nothing to do with the g/box.its most likly to be the clutch dragging.either the clutch req adjusting or strip and clean and check the clutch.putoline light g/oil is o/k we use it all the time with no problems.
  20. 2/4 is right it was mid week and it was part of the civic week,dought if we would get it now with health and safety,would be an issue.
  21. cheap idea get the land owner with his 4x4,that what i done at the last trial.didnt cost a penny.
  22. just use pirelli mt43s and that would work and they would last a whole season.
  23. put a screw driver in the hole first,as pushing the tool in first it sometimes bends if there is a restiction and just leave the ends sticking out.used 5 at once one year at the ssdt,worked a treat.
  24. the gas gas is a bit to lively but the 2012 sherco 250 is spot on.it feels more a clubman bike and dosnt pull your arms out the sockets and easier to work on.and its a bit cheaper.
  25. my mate has a 2011 290 only done B sections at wobblers trials.mint condition and very cheap. reason buying a 2012.
