Has any tried the S3 #5 bar end plugs ? From the photo's I've seen it looks to be a roller type for the throttle tube , similar to the old Hebo one ... Glenn

Trust me , I understand the principles of induction , you should've hit me up to ride my 'lightly' modified 240 @ the world round . Most folks come away with a 'OMG' look on their face ... But she'll still wheelie from below idle in third gear ( and no I didn't port the barrel I use , but I will duplicate it when I install a fresh forged twin ring piston and some new plating ...) Got bit by my Section for the first time !!!! Got the bike out of the shop to clean off some mud before working on it . so after washing it while wearing shorts and my work boots , I went to fire her up and ride into the shop . Conclusion... Wet, oil soaked work boot soles and wet section aluminum kickstarter don't mix well ! She fired 2nd kick as my foot slipped of the starter , I've got nasty lump/cut just below my knee on the inside of my leg .... My own fault for having shorts on , with pants it would've hurt , but I wouldn't have bled ...!!! then I had to ride the 240 around and play for a bit ... Glenn

For the money , you can't beat them ! Mine at about 6 years old are the most comfortable shoes/boots I own ! including my redback workshoes $$$ Glenn

You know by today's standards none of us was supposed to ever make it. HIGH SCHOOL -- 1957 vs. 2012 Scenario 1: Jack goes duck hunting before school and then pulls into the school parking lot with his shotgun in his truck's gun rack. 1957 - Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jack's shotgun, goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack. 2012- School goes into lock down, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counsellors called in for traumatized students and teachers. Scenario 2: Johnny and Mark get into a fist fight after school. 1957 - Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up buddies. 2012 - Police called and SWAT team arrives -- they arrest both Johnny and Mark. They are both charged with assault and both expelled even though Johnny started it. Scenario 3: Jeffrey will not be still in class, he disrupts other students. 1957 - Jeffrey sent to the Principal's office and given a good paddling by the Principal. He then returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again. 2012 - Jeffrey is given huge doses of Ritalin. He becomes a zombie. He is then tested for ADD. The family gets extra money (SSI) from the government because Jeffrey has a disability. Scenario 4: Billy breaks a window in his neighbor's car and his Dad gives him a whipping with his belt. 1957 - Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college and becomes a successful businessman. 2012 - Billy's dad is arrested for child abuse, Billy is removed to foster care and joins a gang. The state psychologist is told by Billy's sister that she remembers being abused herself and their dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has an affair with the psychologist. Scenario 5: Mark gets a headache and takes some aspirin to school. 1957 - Mark shares his aspirin with the Principal out on the smoking dock. 2012 - The police are called and Mark is expelled from school for drug violations. His car is then searched for drugs and weapons. Scenario 6: Pedro fails high school English. 1957 - Pedro goes to summer school, passes English and goes to college. 2012 - Pedro's cause is taken up by state. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against the state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English is then banned from core curriculum. Pedro is given his diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English. Scenario 7: Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from the Fourth of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle and blows up a red ant bed. 1957 - Ants die. 2012 - ATF, Homeland Security and the FBI are all called. Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates his parents - and all siblings are removed from their home and all computers are confiscated. Johnny's dad is placed on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again. Scenario 8: Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him. 1957 – In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing. 2012 - Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces 3 years in State Prison. Johnny undergoes 5 years of therapy. My , how times have changed !!!! Glenn

WoW .. I forgot all about the build , has anyone heard from Jay lately ? I'm thinking a 125 Hodaka may be the perfect powerplant for the FM330 sitting in my shop waiting for a crankshaft . Glenn

I've always wheeled across them , with a little speed ... But I have found you have to hit them square , They are always slippery ! And the distance between them is perfect to stop your bike cold . If the tracks or your tires are wet , stay away !!! They are not forgiving at all . Glenn Ground clearance on the FLH may be a issue !!!

I just have to add , I LOVE the AVE.GAS in my bikes .... You should see the strange fuel related issue's I see at work ... And I live in a area with about 10 stations that sell 93 e-free ! and folks won't spend the extra pennies to keep their street bikes running sweet ! I just spent the better part of a day diagnosing a 2008 ZX6r with a fuel related problem ... 6k on the bike , Light corrosion in the tank , pickup filter plugged slap up ... Good fuel pressure , but no volume And the guy tells me after the 3rd interrogation , " I only run mid grade , 'cause I don't ride it hard " . Cleaned all 8 injectors , new fuel pump , a couple drops of marvel mystery oil in the tank with good fuel , and the bike will pull redline in every gear ... Almost a scary bike to go WFO on ! Glenn (and my Fantics always start by the 2nd or 3rd kick , no matter how long they sit neglected ....)

But I only had a taser on me for crowd control !!!!

I had one on mine when I was a yuongin .... I believe the brand name was ' Chain-tite ' chain tensioners , They used to make them for all kinds of bikes. Don't know if their still around though .... Glenn

Sorry to hear of your bad experience observing . When I observed in Tenn. marking the cards at the end of the section the riders were generally polite and somewhat respectful , even when they got 5's. And almost all of them said thank you for working on the last loop . I had a great couple of days Glenn
