  1. the queue was longer later ,1 observer with punch cards was maybe the problem, much quicker with a board.queue's were a problem at a few sections during the day.as i said i did'nt mess about and was still late ,plenty i spoke to were in with a minute or two to spare at the most but i do realize that some will spend all day at a section waiting for a rock to move,i do hate having to rush down narrow lanes due to tight time limits,it's not the tt. on a positive note, i had a good day ,land/sections were great could maybe be a little harder but i know that rider ability vary's a lot so i suppose they were about right.
  2. I sometimes wonder why we even need time penalty's ,it's wrong that trials are won and lost on your ability to push in when there's big a long wait to get in a section. There was quite a long wait on sunday section 3 we were waiting maybe 40 minutes + and even longer at ible, that and a puncture made time very tight for me . there was also a small problem of road side markers being pulled or tampered with which has happened a few times on different events over the years. i thought i'd lost 3 minutes and lost 8 according to the results and was quite suprised.8 time penalty's ruin an otherwise good ride.

    4rt asking price.

looks about right ,looks nice and clean
  4. firstly i would run the frame no through hpi my self ,not unknown for the police to make mistakes, think you may be able to do some type of check on e bay motors for free.also bike may be stolen recovered and still on list as stolen, takes them years to take bikes/cars off the list sometimes and relys on insurance /dvla and the police all doing there jobs.
  5. hi,anyone know where i can download a copy of regs for the wainwright trial? thanks
  6. intresting coment's .as some one who's sold one or two bikes on e bay i think desciptions are very tricky if you under sell no one will come and offer you more ,i put my beta on ebay which i thought was very clean and had'nt done a lot of work first buyer ,deceided it was'nt clean enough the second had looked at 10 others and thought it was the cleanest, some turn up thinking there buying a road bike and a 2 year old bike should be unmarked, personally i'd expect a 5 year old bike to have had a lot of use ,the first owner did'nt spend 5 k to leave it in a garage. i pesonally think that my mont is pretty good and sounds nice but having ridden a brand new one last week i know it is starting to feel it's age,i sometimes feel that some people expect a new bike when looking for a used purchase and usually the one's wanting to pay the least expect the most.a good rule is to try and buy localish even if it cost's a little more ,then hopefully you'll know a little more about the bike/owner.yet to have a bad bike yet sticking to that...

    gas gas motos ltd

for me gas gas have always being great to deal with ,quick and efficient.
  8. biggest problems getting an entry, failed last three times i've tried. i would firstly try some proper northern trials as suggested, jack wood is an excellent event to do in the run up to scotland and the loch lomond 2 day is always good.if you struggle at these i would really have a hard think about the ssdt ,there can be some very hard days, helps to be mechanically competent as well ,ie swop a tube with minimum tools or strip the carb at the side of a road. it's not just the trial it's preperation as well ....bike and body.
  9. just read on another site that she is going to go on a plumbing course as she thinks she will have a more secure future.when even womens darts can get sponsorship can't help but think a good sports agent could work wonders with a top female rider ,even in tough economic times we are currently facing. publicity=sponsorship=bigger wages.
  10. well firstly can't beleive no one has made a comment about the sad retirement of joanne coles which to me was a bit of a shock to loose what i thought was maybe our best future chance of a world title.knowing a couple of the top girls quite well i know there's little if any money to be earn't ,but done the right way they must be able to make a reasonable living,i can't beleive that after success at the tdn that none of the magazines targeted at the younger male audience approached them ,you would think young women on motorbikes would be a pr companys dream and with that would come bigger sponsers and money.just look at jessica ennis or victoria pendleton both now must have a good career from there chosen sports. what does any one else think?

    I'm lucky!

best to get some where near as on your late days it's a nightmare to find a place to park,if it's wet and it will be, you'll wreck your car/van interior having being covered in mud and water for eight and a half hours. just much easier to walk two minutes to the start.
  12. i also see that emma bristow is on ossa next year and now has a bike, maybe the problem is just with the factory bike. shame would have liked to have seen it at sheffield.
  13. andres .north notts /south yorks. 1.with out doubt the best built bike currently made. 2.the bike due to the weight will struggle at higher levels but is one of the best clubmen bikes you can buy.due to the quality of the bikes build they are maybe a little to exspensive and maybe not the in bike to have as they are starting to look a little dated.still one of the nicest looking bike though in repsol colours. 3.personally i hope they make an updated 4 stroke ,variety is a good thing. 4.good. build quality. reliability. sound. suspension. grip flexability of the motor,no way are they under powered. bad price. weight. some struggle with grip,i just think you have to give it a little time,it's just diffferent. 5. in many ways yes but theres lots of good bikes out there.got quite a few bikes but i won't sell the 4rt in a hurry.
  14. hi,wondering if anyone on here is riding at armthoprpe on saturday night, looks quite good, think i'd be faster on trials bike though.
  15. seem's to be a no go area these days, still see an odd bike up there ,sad as trials bikes were not a problem and are doing a lot less damage than the local mountain bikers/bmx who are digging the place up,too many stolen bikes /cars ruined it for everyone ,shame one of the local clubs car'nt get permission to use it as there was some brilliant sections.
  16. i would silicon the crack up or maybe get it plastic welded ,they are splitable i think anyway and we were alway told to split them and silicon it up .i would think that wes could make you a tail pipe up and would be cheaper.

  19. hope so one of the best round i've being to,excellent day, thanks.
  20. i wonder if ther was more to it than that, start of the second lap it was in bit's all over the floor ,fan and rad were off and they were looking rather concerned.don't think we will ever know what the problem really was.
  21. 100% correct it's happening all to often at centre and club trials, personaly i blame the new rules, the queing recently has being worse, riders should be warned once and excluded if parents are in sections kicking rocks round ,i have nothing against anyone catching, someone stood on a big step can be a big help for any rider ,but all the half a tyre left stuff at club level is a joke.

    Wainwright

hi, has anyone seen wainwright trial entrys yet, keep looking not seen them yet.
  24. well i fo one would like to say thanks, hillsborough are among the very best trials that i attend, general feeling among the group i rode round with were that the sections were dead right and that there was'nt a duffer among them all day, i know that it's so hard to get sections right especially as there are so many good riders on the clubmen route these days and it must be murder to cater for all abilitys in just that class. any way thanks for putting on what's probably the best 1 day trials this year.
  25. i know there not the same but electric push bike batterys(sealed lead acid) so a fair comparision have lasted between a year and two and a half ,with an average of about 18 month ,they usually start to lack power after a while and loose range a set of three battery 12v 14 a cost roughly about
