    Year Model ?

    border bikes at Berwick ??
  5. spent my teenage years tripping over hundereds of ossa 1 piece tank /side panel units that we couldnt give away and now you want one When Peter Quinn bought out the remaining stock of ossa parts fron Cliff or Roger Holden there were loads of different tanks which had been made included in the parts. I think from the factory they had the one peice unit, and as woody and others have said in the 70's and early 80s UK bikes had to have alloy tanks so they were made seperately for the UK. There were also a number of smaller tank units made by Quinns to make the bike look a little smaller as in club trials you never had to fill up during the event. All of the tanks and remaining parts were sold to mainly spanish mc/s I think and thats the guy who was probably selling them at Stoneleigh. Cheers
  6. which oil are you using ? My 2007 did this when it was new but the problem went away when I changed the oil. I used to get the best results using standard 10/40 motor oil. This made the clutch a little slower but stopped the juddering. you can use ATF but it makes the clutch too quick in my view. is the clutch basket ok ?

    Weather

or, and this is normally 100% accurate if its raining Baldilocks is riding easy to understand !
  15. I dont think Bou is a headache to the organisers set the trial to take 20 - 30 off raga, cabs, fajardo etc, Bou will still win by 10 to 20 marks and the spectators will have had somthing worth watching. If Bou doesnt win then all the better in terms of making it interesting for the spectator, he'll still win the series. simples !
  16. I think the time limit of 1 minute could be a good thing in time with appropriate sections. I think Dougie referred to having to rush, I thought the lack of time would lead to smaller obstacles but in Spain it didnt appear to looking at the results. At 1.30 per section there was still a lot of balancing going on. No matter what the rules are a clerk of the course can get it wrong, looks like the people in spain did to me.
  17. Hi Double A whats your riding number ? I'm number 258, see you in fort william. if you are near Carlos follow him !

  21. watch the video on the Gas Gas USa site, its also on youtube search under Gas Gas Pro it takes you through splitting the motor step by step, really helpful.
  22. I heard also that Andy Metcalfe's shop in East Yorkshire has had a similar visit recently, equally bad for him. As riders we rely on our dealers so this affects us all. The Scorpa 250f wasnt very common so it makes me think these are going abroad, presumably anyone in the UK trials community would now the bike was stolen if it came up.
  23. You lot must never ride I jet wash the bike after every ride, cover the chain in WD40 afterwards and then apply chain lube before the next ride once the WD40 has got rid of the moisture. I get 6 months max out of a set of sprockets and I dont like to fit a worn chain to new sprockets so the chain goes every 6 months as well. talon sprockets and either renthal or regina chain I cant see me getting a year out of a set never mind four or five years

    Swm Parts

Right folks I have been considering a twin shock for some time and I'm thinking of getting one for the summer months to see if I enjoy it more than the Gas Gas I currently have. A combination of getting Bernies book off santa many years ago and SWMs being in short supply when my dad was a dealer for them meant that although I always wanted one I never actually owned an SWM. So if I go the twinshock route the SWM seems a likely candidate I have been offered a frame yokes and a seat /tank unit from a 280 but whats the chances of locating a motor ? will early air cooled aprillia rotax motor fit or the armstrong rotax ? I assume the Gori one will ??
