  1. HAM2 boxing day it is then.......
  2. Ham2 have you got that bike out yet, Ive a shed full of tyres for you now. TC is good value for you mate, it normally takes two pints of shandy to make you barf !
  3. Bikespace thats why i was so incensed in the first place. Anybody in the public sector is an equally easy target. I'm not saying its perfect, of course it isnt, but look at the link Dabster posted, theres mention of how efficient our health service is compared to other nations. Theres a link on the same page to a separate story that the NHS is going to lose
  4. B40RT Can you give me your NI Number please. when you turn up at casualty next one of the public sector unemployed will gladly tell you to F*ck off ! I love the idea that the public sector is in some way to blame for this Public sector funding is being reduced as we spent the cash on bailing out the private sector banks. The banks have returned to billion pound profits rather quickly and never really stopped paying each other bonuses despite the amighty mess they had created. Slash the public sector, go ahead, what do you think will happen to the retail sector when unemployment starts to rocket again ? A number of NHS Primary Care Trusts who contract with your GP, local hospital, opticians, dentists etc are losing 50% of staff. Sure any business or organisation has some slack to cover holiday, sickness etc but 50%, no chance. Service will no doubt have to be modified, some waiting list targets have already been scrapped which means people will wait longer to be treated. So thats a great plan, glad I didnt vote for it.
  5. this bike could be a dark horse in terms of low expectations but actually being a very good all rounder. thik the one piece suit looks great as well
  6. bloody photoshop ! Trust me it looked even worse in reality. the really bad news is my best ride was the sunday wearing the banana suit, so its washed and ready for next week.........
  7. correct and I didnt win the bet !
  8. If you have put another hole in the tape for the second valve my money is now on thats your problem. Try something like instant gasket to seal around the hole before fitting the valve
  9. This usually happens when the tyre is punctured or if the pressure is too low. Dont go below 4psi I dont know if Vee rubber tyres are any good, is it a tubless tyre ? when you had a tube type tyre did you machine the rim to take off the tubless lip ? if so you need a new rim. how have you managed to fit a second valve ?
  10. You may be able to do this which I did with a Beta Rev 3 which has the master cylinder on the right and the caliper on the left. remove the whole system from the bike and use some screws to attach it to a plank of wood. You should be able to line the whole system up so the little resevoir is at the top of the system and the caliper is at the bottom. you need to get the angle of the master cylinder correct so that fliud is flowing up to the little resevoir. you can then back bleed it by forcing the pistons into the caliper and this should force air to the top., use a ball ended alan spanner to work the master cylinder to push the pistons back out. should work in a couple of goes, if not the seals are gone somewhere. The 303 I had years ago did two sets of master cylinder seals in 6 months.
  11. it could be done but its not the best idea. you silencer will have rubber orings in the joint between silencer and mid box. If you weld it on you wont ever be able to change them again.
  12. I think he deserved the win for his approach to section 15 alone never mind doing the last lap for 5. pure entertainment and great to see somebody with such an approach at the top.
  13. The only thing that was dissapointing about the whole weekend was the attitude of some of the top riders and minders to the observers. I was at section 4 during the first lap on Sunday and thought Bou's behaviour was appaling after his five. The minders in general ignored the observers instruction for as long as possible to get out of the section. There was only really two places to warrant catching in the section and thats the only places they should have been to be honest. The spectators wouldnt like to miss the riders riding but the solution probably is to dish out some fives.
  14. I think I know the bike in question and the family selling it. Buying bikes privately is always a risk and people are right to be cautious. I'm not telling anyone to buy it thats entirely their decison. The frame has been shot blasted and then powder coated this I understand has made the frame number almost impossible to see. the engine has been painted but I'd think if you scratch off the paint you'll find an engine number. I can tell you I have known that family for 30 years and they are well known and respected in the trials community I can tell you where they live I can tell you the dealer who supplied the bike when new its not stolen. the problem the current owner has and why i'm posting this is having done his best to prepare the bike for sale he's not going to be able to sell it to anyone if we all report we think its likely to be nicked. If anyone wants any information PM me by all means.
  15. I tought incidents like this led to the invention of stickers ?
  16. apparently this does happen on some bikes, get a new seal and fit with silkaflex to stop it coming out.
