Totally agree, if the Clubmen get 5'd for that on a regular basis, there'd soon be an Observer shortage up there. In general the Observers are fairly generous to everybody.

You can do the one in the bottom of the swing arm in vice as well, I've done it using a socket either side.

Beta have done it & in doing so have created the best 4 stroke trials bike for the average rider. The only downside, it still depreciates like a 2 stroke.

That's a 2000 model bike, not a 1999 model, although there's nothing sinister about it being a 1999 dvla registration. If you think you're missing a gear the advert is wrong, the bike should have a 5 speed box. Hopefully you should have a nice bike that should hold it's money if & when you wan to move to something newer.

Have you ever measured the geometry of this frame against an original white tank model bike? I do wonder if the different swinging arm & longer front pipe improved the bike. I had a white 349 new in 1981, it handled like a super tanker & the motor was awful, far too strong, I spent most of my time chasing the pig up sections.

They do it in speedway, I've seen them reverse a wheel after an unsatisfactory start to get a new edge. Obviously there's no brake disk to worry about!

I would have thought if the kit was good enough quality it should work 99% of the time as the bike should have had the ignition cut before it starts singing.
