  1. Relive your youth Gentleman! http://nintendo8.com/game/24/excitebike/
  2. Thanks for the replies guys. Quite tempted by the v-mar and h and d one. Do these pedals feel any different from the standard one? Where can I purchase them from? Thanks
  3. Hey all, Snapped my standard montesa 4rt brake pedal yesterday on a big tree stump. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a after-market replacement or should i just buy an OEM one as in all fairness it has taken some hard hits without bending or breaking until now. Thanks in advance
  4. Yeh good bunch of guys at AMS. How you liking it so far? Also if you have no luck green laning you could always join Midwest mcc they hold some good hare and hounds or join North Somerset MCC and do their two hours time trails. They mark out the track to suit enduro bikes but make it technical and interesting at the same time.
  5. A mate email me this helmet camera footage of the 09 race. Check out 6:15 those guys were very lucky!
  6. I have heard of good deals from Fowlers if you play hard to get but I also know people who have gone to Mounter motorcycles or AMS KTM to get some good deals. Are you looking for an 09 or a late 08 model? Better deals on the latter for obvious reasons. Cheers

    Ezberg 2009

Write up about event and Dougies incident. Such a shame really as it would have been nice to see two British Trials champions on the podium. http://www.enduronews.com/events/erzberg.htm
  8. Hey all About to buy my dad a new digital camera for his birthday but don't know where to start. It will primarily be used for taking pictures at trials and enduros as well as standard family stuff like holidays and birthdays. I do not really want to go the SLR route and would prefer something compact but with good quality and usability. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
  9. The JJ Cobas looks like a normal bike. Normally these rare manufacturers have something special about what was different about these then?
  10. True the maps in the ECUs are different year on year which could account for the differences in engine characteristics.
  11. I was told by a reputably dealer that the cams were different because the 07 has a higher compression but that could have been achieved with a different de-compressor. Anyways I still find the 07 has a lot more torquey as well as being easier to start

    Hells Gate

Past few years a nice montage video has appeared on the hells gate website a few days after but i have never seen it aired on TV. Best chance of it appearing will probably be motors tv on sky as Eurosport only shows FIM endorsed events by the seems of it. Plus Sky Sports would never be interested in showing such an exciting and skillful sport Anyways I cant wait to see the montage. My top three: 1st Taddy, 2nd Jarvis 3rd Dougie Thats my 2cents p.s. Here is a good video
  13. Hey I have had a 06 and now have an 07 and the 07 is definitely a better bike. The clutch is very good standard so it does not need alteration, i.e. mitani plates or 315r master cylinder. But for me its the cam that makes all the difference. The engine feels even better and I thought the 06 was amazing. Obviously as clarkey said no really major changes but why change such an amazing bike. Have fun riding it.
  14. Indeed, you live and learn. What is this country coming to, eh?
  15. Sorry for your loss. On a more optimistic note because your bike sounds very individual you have a better chance of finding it. From my own experience you need to watch ebay like a hawk as many turn up on there. Also register the bike as stolen with the DVLA and Shirty, plus other local dealers. This is very important because if someone tries to register it in the future you will quickly find out. Sorry for your lose.
  16. Have you recently sold a bike/car? Thats how they got my address rang up to buy a bike never turned up then went that night. Make sure the bike is registered as stolen with DVLA and Sandifords, this means that if someone tries to register it you will know the location. DO NOT RELY ON THE POLICE TO DO THIS, YOU WILL HAVE TO! Also watch ebay like a hawk you will be surprised how many turn up on there. Sorry for your loss.

    What Is It For ?

Could be a boost bottle but only ever really seen them on twin shock motocross bikes.
  18. Hey There is no "Best" bike for time trials. All I ride currently is time trials in the Wessex centre and from personal experience that the bike does not really matter. I have seen air cooled TY250 win to Montesa 4rts. By far the most popular bike is a sherco 290 but every make and size bike is represented and goes very well. The bikes with bigger engines generally find it easier because they can quickly gain speed and let the bike lug in certain areas. But the GasGas 250 you have should be fine for now but you may need to change the gearing a bit. The thing you need to remember is that time trails is less about the bike more about technique. You need to be fast and smooth but at the same time adapting to the track. Motocross and Enduro bike easily change a section within a lap. Sections still are very important but are easier and shorter compared to normal observed trials. Just remember a time trial is harder on the bike so it needs to be looked after more but apart from that any bike will do. Your best option is just to ride the gas gas for now and then make your mind up on what bike suits you best. Please don't hesitate to PM me. I will be riding on January the 11th at North Somerset MCC Time Trial if you fancy a ride. Have fun.
  19. Hey Some good information and videos here that helped me alot: http://www.trialstrainingcenter.com/ Cheers

    Romaniacs

Fair play to Graham Jarvis for winning it, just a shame Bolter went wrong because he was also very capable of winning it. Below is a very vids of the event; well worth a watch. http://www.enduro.gr/index.cfm?Action=Deta...1&CPid=2685 P.S. Anyone know what bike Jarvis was on? 450 or the new 250?
  21. Good luck mate hope you get your bikes back. I've been where you are and I known its not very nice at all. Hope you get the little bas***ds.
  22. Hi all First off i need to make an apology for my lack of input so far. I am trying to play my cards close to my chest as to not give any information away. Secondly I would like to say a huge thank you to this community and in particular shnaft and kingfisher for there emails and messages. I apologies for seeming rude by not replying promptly. Ebay did not stop the auction but the seller which shows that either he was tipped off that it may have been stolen or some common sense surfaced forcing him to rethink his plan. I would like to tell you more information but as this is a public domain I would rather keep plans private at this point but I will update you when the time comes. Again thanks to all those involved and those mentioned. Scott
  23. Try http://www.jkhirst.co.uk/ If they do not have the parts, they will certainly have the correct numbers. I have used them many times and they offer a great service.
  24. Hey all, I feel quite lucky in that with my club we have a core of about 10-14 people who turn up to mark out every track no matter what time of year. But even with this amount of people the 'trial master' generally goes out a night before hand and has a good idea where he wants sections and the routes to be. This seems to works quite well and has plenty of movement to accommodate other peoples opinions. In order to ensure such a good turn out for the trial those who spend the time marking out get a free entry or half price, but the majority of people do it because they enjoy it and the company. But it is just not about setting out the trial, from experience with several clubs the admin side, entries etc, falls to the wives of the club president so they deserve a round of applause as well. Thanks Scott
  25. Hey I have been using a premier helmet for about two years and have not had a problem with it yet. I have found to to be very durable and the vents help keep my head very cool when riding. I have never experienced any water or leaves blocking them. Highly recommend them. Hope this helps!
