  1. Somebody has done their homework sorting the date..... (Not)
  2. Then there is the 2 wars to fund and all the money that has been p*****g out of the country that the Polish have been sending home and not spending here.(even got their own shops) Good for the economy, I think not just another nail in the coffin. But you can't blame them as our wasters did not want to do the work and the government were too soft. Coming back to haunt them now though...... Also did you see the British olympic commitee awarded a badge making contract to a chinese firm.......What chance have you got with that sort of thing happening PS they will not cut VAT it is a lucrative source and boy they need all they can get......No favours.
  3. I was talking to a mate at a trial today who has got number 15. He was saying that Mick Chapman has been trying to buy it as he does not own one. His sister has one as mentioned previously. What sort of price do they go for?
  4. Spoke to a bloke who did the flywheel mod and reckoned it was as good as a 143 mod making it a bit nippier off the bottom end, but it stalled easier. 143 is expensive for 18cc I think.
  5. I agree with the postcode issue. Some clubs sign post well and some do not. I did a trial last week and I doubt I would have found it if I had not caught up with on the way there a rider I knew who was on his way and knew the venue.
  6. I think the argument is that it would be possible for the government to cut duty to ease the pressure etc. If it keeps going up then that would be an option until it comes back down, if that ever happens. If you get my drift.
  7. Hey Atom wouldn't it be a good idea to get this on the front page if there is room? Just a thought.
  8. I think you are talking about different Andys. Don't think the TC Andy will mind as they are a site sponsor I think. Don't know who other Andy is though. Not sure about the text talk either.......
  9. Looks like the same tank to me. The transfer on the top tank is I think off a DT and makes it look misleading .
  10. I fitted the Domino throttle and a new Venhill cable in the end. Did the Hawks trial last weekend and it was excellent. Most of it was 1st gear but may have been okay in 2nd. Plus due to the footrest lowering done by the last owner and longer shocks I was well pleased with it. Cheapest trials bike I have bought and best I have done in a trial. Jobs a good un.
  11. A baited trap The reason is simple there is a RRP for most products especially Renthal bars Domino grips and any other bread and butter trials parts. Yes they may varie by a few pence here and there as does a loaf of bread and a pint of milk in the supermarkets. I am talking pounds difference on 1 item being Renthal bars. Again if someone is selling an electronic ignition set up they have had produced and is unavailable elsewhere then it is up to them what they charge. There are 3 people supplying TY 250 electronic ignitions that I know of and the prices varie a great deal, I think around
  12. I have a yr 2000 caddy and I can get a trials bike in no problem, you need to go corner to corner.
  13. Glad to hear the ignition works well. Note re traders, Malvern show this year Renthal 6 " silver handlebars were one price at one end of the hall and a different price the other end. ????? That is just one item, I know of others who post on here that agree. Enough said.
  14. I wondered why the Alhambra Sharan n Galaxy was never made in to a van, maybe the 4 doors ??? Would make a good van I reckon.
  15. No jon I bid as it was cheap, but didn't bother bidding again I thought the postage was a bit greedy, I may be wrong. Probably the engine is the best part of my TY. It's the rest that needs money throwing at it. Cheers
  16. Hey jon you out bid me on the ty cylinder on ebay. Re the ignition I would say shop around as they do fluctuate in price. I believe a mate of Woodys does a deal on them. Cheers
  17. I see there is a Majesty advertised for sale on Wobbly Wills that looks similar to the one at the start of this thread.
  18. First take the cover and ignition pickup assembly off the head on the left side of the head when sat on the bike. You will see the cam sprocket and chain etc. With a clean instrument check the wear in the chain, there should be hardly any movement in the chain, if there is then bolt everything back together, run the bike and adjust the camchain as it says to do so in your manual. The adjuster is on the l/h crankcase behind the cylinder. Follow the book it is easy, you may need to do it a couple of times as they can stick. If you notice the rattle is not as bad then the tensioner is working. It does not hurt to have the slight occasional rattle, but not constant. You dont want the chain too tight as this can knacker the head, if you go by the book it will be fine. If it needs replacing there are dealers who list them on ebay. You may be better off taking it to someone who is used to 4 strokes if you are not as it requires timing up properly. Good luck.
  19. You can do the cam chain with the engine in the frame. If you want to remove the top end you will need to take the engine out of the frame. They do not have a little end like a 2 stroke .
  20. Welcome to TC. Book yourself on to a Steve Saunders trials school in Gloucestershire. There are a few clubs in Gloucester and 2 in Hereford. We regularly see some folks from Worcester and surrounding towns here in Hereford. Not too sure about the club situation around Worcester area though.. Malvern do a couple a year ??
  21. Nice bike Frenchie. Good job Majestyman 340s had the boot, he may have a whinge about that front end. Exactly the same has been grafted into my bike..... You know it makes sense.
  22. Not sure but the fuel filler on your tank is same as the French replica tanks, where the UK bikes were the other side I think. Pitleys is other side for sure (alloy tank) The fibreglass tanks are smaller as well.
  23. A Seeley fetched 2500 plus on the bay tonight. Still some money about despite all the doom and gloom. Get it spent, you can't take it with you.
  24. Nice bike Scrumpy. It's no good looking at them, the reason why I sold my Seeley recently. I have a Yam framed Maj which needs sorting out, shelved due to house sale (ha ha ) Pitley rides a Godden framed 250 not plated frame though. And I was working with a bloke a while ago that had a Godden in his van, non runner and it was in there as he was struggling for storage space due to working on his barn conversion, given up trials for enduro at the time. Again not plated frame one.
