Nigel Birkett is doing a front brake plate assembly to use in a mono wheel with the brake arm situated on the outside of the plate. He is sorting the brake arm at present as the original one he was using the stock has dried up. He is on the case though and will sort it asap. Woody. Do you know if it is possible to use a TY mono electronic ignition set up on a Majesty, if so how much work involved etc? I bought a mono in bits for the forks so if I can use other parts that would be a bonus. Cheers.

No I think your are referring to the Godden later frame. The early bike still has the bottom tubes and sump guard. All the work in raising the engine did not affect the bottom tubes. You can just make out on the pic the cut out for the spark plug. Got one of these myself but I had to pay a lot more than Zarcoff paid.

Coffin Majesty tanks at Malvern today were being sold for 200 notes and I saw a couple snapped up at that price. (Fibreglass)

My Majesty I am doing has a standard Yamaha tank. But could be for the same reason as Woody says. I am also interested in who told you about the frame number. My bike is a 78 S plate with mainly blue on the tank stripes. Also has a Mick Andrews sticker above the fuel filler cap, a bit worn now though. I will change for the coffin tank though as I think it makes the bike. (IMO) Cheers.

Which shocks are folks here using on Majesty 250s ? I have converted to TY mono forks and am looking for some advice on shocks. Bearing in mind I will be riding the clubman route and never expect to be bringing any trophies home. Betors, NJB's or spend a few quid more??? Thanks in advance. PS hearing conflicting stories about Falcon shocks.

Whatever you do DON'T sell to the pikeys. Put some pigs on there first (cleaner) Selling to the pikeys will annoy loads more folk.

I have used the fluids mentioned. Mix a small bottle in a tankfull of derv. Best thing is change the derv and air filters first though as that may cure it. Or do it all then give it a good thrashing. My Tdi Golf struggles at MOT time to pass the smoke test, needs a good caning sometimes to clear the crap out.

Yes the dreaded 270 conversion there are good uns and bad uns. I had a bad un like a moto crosser. If you have a good un they reckon they are great. Sold mine sharpish, got a 250 pre pinky mono to ride now white framed one, going to lower the pegs etc.

Caddy I'm talking about is the one with Polo front, loads about 1.9 Sdi or Tdi came out 97 up to about 04 I think. I have a Sdi X reg You will get 1 bike in on an angle or 2 if you take the bulk head out I think. Always a few on ebay or autotrader site.
