  1. Majestyman340 you are still not answering Woodys question.
  2. The bike is worth a small fortune Should read the bike cost a small fortune. I wouldn't give him the price it cost to get the wheels done. It is a Jap home market trail bike at the end of the day, not the easiest to find parts for either. It's pants....
  3. I have a 125 and I don't do the hard stuff myself, if there is a failure in any section I can say it is definitely rider and not the bike I would say the little Scorpa is an excellent bike. In the YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE test they preferred the 125 over the 200 especially for a clubman type rider. The Birkett mods on the 125s include rejetting and exhaust baffle mod, also you can lighten the flywheel. I was told at a trial that the flywheel mod can cause it to stall easier. Not had mine done so it is just what I was told. I would have thought the mods are sorted on the latest bikes, although I know the clutch is either on or off but there is an adjustable handlebar lever you can buy or mod the clutch arm on the engine. A late TTR 125 arm does the trick but you need to partly strip the motor to fit it. You can ride a fair few sections as the bike is so soft without the clutch Having read the test I would say have a go on a 125 and see what you think. Cheers and let us know if you buy one. PS there was a 175 on ebay recently as new, it did not sell, I have the owners mobile if you PM me I will let you have it.

    Rules?

frenchie. Yes this is boring now, let's move on. t shock 250. Yes the forks are better, and yes it is "progress". No need to shout. (Capital letters used for whole words in forums) Ask the site owner. PS if you would like to see a pic of a set of shot TY forks I can take a photo and send it to you. Anyway I will be on the Scorpa this weekend, the one with one shock and an aircooled motor.

    Rules?

Majestyman340 you do not always have to post after post. It is possible to edit posts 4 mins between posts is not required, PS mono forks on a Majesty does nowt to the steering head angle. As this has been explained here before. These have been used because the old TY forks are shot and the sensible way forward are Yamaha parts from as close to the era as possible. The mono brake is not the best anyway, but that what comes with the forks. "Later" forks in my book would be something from a Gas Gas or whatever.
  6. That looks like a tricked up sack truck to me, look at the steering head angle on the thing, not in keeping sureley. Paioli don't get Pitley on the rough cider he crawls around the neighbourhood he told me. He would never get the steering sorted out , hic!.
  7. I see that. Personally I have had a guts full of fettling the bike.I used to work in the trade etc etc. That is why the Scorpa 125 (with the modern steering geometry) for Paioli is a must.Minimum fettling, having said that there is a Majesty receiving some attention and a few pounds to get out there with the twinshock crowd. Cheers
  8. Interesting angle Atom.Well who cares fit what you like discs all round change the steering head angle, fit tubeless rims Efi if you want. But I think you'll find that it has something to do with the rider at the end of the day. I could have it all singing and dancing but it would make no odds. The size of the wallet does not always bring home the trophies. I showed the better half the new Scorpa 125/200 test in YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE and she promised to buy me one when I come first in my class. (That will never happen then.) Never mind.
  9. I just had the same thing. Is she after a shag "she" is probably a he.
  10. Other folks refer to the 240 as the best off the peg/ out of the crate twinshock you can buy. Needs nowt doing just ride it, oh maybe some hebo pegs. If you don't buy it there are many that will.

    Rules?

I believe the Scorpa a/c monos are quite popular in the ACU Classic series. Have you seen this months YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE? more good press for the little Scorpa. And they are still praising the 125.
  12. There is one on the bay right now. I see the hi boy frame is being relaunched also.
  13. I may be behind the times here but I have just read that SM Products are to remake a limited number of the Hi boy frame for the TL125. What with all the bickering going on re the re launch of other frames and chassis etc etc how many I wonder will be built using 125 motors. Also there are going to be some "modifications" to the new frames. There are bound to be TLR200 motors used and many other components that were not around back in the day so where will these fit in I wonder. Personally it doesn't bother me what folk use I really don't give a monkeys, just good to see folks out there riding and having a good day, but there are those that will throw their teddies out of the pram when the new generation Hi boys turn up. On another thread on here someone is asking should Scorpa 125s be banned from a/c mono class, so you get my drift. PS Andy where is the emoticon for cat amongst pigeons.
  14. Scorpa is the dogs dangly bits. Upsets some folk (I can't think why) Nice nearly new one on the bay and it's the 200. Go on get it spent, you can't take it with you.

    First Bike For Wife

Is she a Welsh girl??? Oh Andy you beat me to it.
  16. I feel a spot of de javu (sp?) in the air.
  17. Sorry I can't do the link thing. Classic trials. Classic chassis kits thread. Post number 32. Get in there and get the thread moving again. Also look at the steering changes thread if you can, again try not to mention Godden steering head changes. Link to Forum Post
  18. Go into classic trials forum click on chassis kits thread it's in there eventually. That threads been a bit quiet lateley and needs some fresh blood to stir it up a bit. Whatever you do don't mention anything about modifying Majesty steering head angles. You have been warned. PS I dont think it has anything to do with RTX. It was built by Jon Bliss.
  19. Make sure you have sourced a pair of TY forks before you list your bits on the bay. TY forks are becoming hard to find in good condition. If the Aprillia forks are okay why don't you keep them as it's a mod that puts the bike in the same league as a Pinky. You will want a wheel as well and they are scarce. I bought a mono in bits just for the forks and wheel for my Majesty. I could do with finding a Pinky with a shot motor now as I have a motor itching to find a chassis.
  20. Well done Atom that is an idiots guide. Only thing what about a complete idiots guide as when in the past I have tried to post a pic I am told it is too big ??? Cheers
  21. Hi Stu, stuff the crankcase mouth with kitchen towel / similar and carefully using a stanley blade peel the bits of base gasket away being careful not to gouge the alloy of the casings. May be an idea to use a used blade if it is not too stubborn. When it's all spotless carefully remove the towel with any bits of gasket you have managed to catch. Oh and always use a new head gasket you tight a***.
  22. The washing up is still on the sink....... awful. The bike is a minger as well.
  23. Funny that the 2 suppliers you mention are the same ones I use. J K Hirst came up trumps with my on line order again and BVM are not too far away and on the ball. bilc0 it's all going up but my wages don't seem to. As mentioned before I am self employed so that is up to me. PS off subject here but I am part way through a house move and reading the solicitors small print he is charging

If you can get a copy of YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE issue 6 there is an article in it The Lejeune Honda Twins. An interesting write up.
  25. European labour may be cheaper, but they are here at the end of the day to work and happy to do the jobs that for some reason people in this country refuse to do. Our soft government over the years have let this happen. I am self employed pay my taxes etc and have to organise my own work. There are folk that will not work and have got away with it for years. So come on down Johnny Foreigner. My parts supplier came up with the goods next day and with a considerable saving over "others". Ebay have no competition and probably never will so when the fees go up traders understandably want to claw it back. But some things are going full circle and folk like myself have seen through this and chosen to deal direct and not have to pay ebay indirectly. If you get my drift. Thankyou rant over
