  1. You had better send your bank details numbers sort code pin etc so as they can transfer it without messing about with a cheque. Fingers crossed I may be one of the other 9, you never know. Now where's that rabbits foot. Damn the flying pig swooped down and gobbled it up
  2. What happened to all the Birkett modded TY monos and pinkys up there. A good rider on one can run rings round a few on bikes 4 or 5 times the price. Some of them codgers up there will smile when they see it happen. They'll all want one then.
  3. Wait until the 125/ 200 Scorpa a/c mono pilots turn up, then the teddies will fly out of the pram. Unfortunately the modern bikes do upset some folk it's understandable, but it isn't working any other way is it? So the solution is to let them ride and some may buy a t shock later. It seems that is the way things are going certainly around here. If you want the club/ trial to survive there are not many other solutions out there. I bet you struggled with some of the members to accept the a/c monos.
  4. Bump. How are the entries going bert ?? Have you got all the observers sorted yet ?? Good to see Mikes coming. Are Rambo n his sidekick entered yet ?
  5. Anybody got a link for this, sounds interesting. I missed it I have been away for a couple of weeks. No computer by the pool in Turkey unfortunately. Thanks...
  6. Disconnect the ign switch first as most Jap bikes will run when you do this. You don't need the regulator either I don't think. You will also keep the kill switch.
  7. Friction plates and springs I believe. I am using a bog std 10 40 Silkolene oil and all seems well with it.
  8. Good write up Malc. Didn't realise the WVAC road trial was now a memorial trial. ???
  9. A common mod on the tlr engine is to run a CR 80 clutch. I have one in my 200 it was there when i bought it and I don't suffer the judder that I did on a Tlr I owned a while back. Whether it is the same clutch in a RS I don't know, I think Tlr 250s are worse so maybe it is ???
  10. This one is cut and dried I think. As I said before wouldn't bother me though unless I was in the running for a class win etc then the teddies would be slung if said t shock pinky beat me by one or two. I wouldn't want to be a part of the pre 65 debacle (sp?) that goes on though, I reckon they would be the big bears you see on the fair stalls and slung from the top of the big wheel.
  11. I considered doing this in my early days here on TC and was rightfully kicked up the a*** for thinking about it. (no names) I have done a lot of trials since and obviously understand why it is not "in the spirit etc". I have only ever seen one at a trial and to be fair the rider is a good rider and didn't need to do it. He now rides a very nice Majesty. It wouldn't bother me but I can understand why it would bother the better t shock riders.

    4rt On Fleabay

Scott I thought maybe you had not been on the computer lately, but sounds as though you are on the case. You did pm me your mobile when the bikes went missing, like a tw4t I cleaned my msg box recently otherwise I would of phoned you. Good luck.

    4rt On Fleabay

Any news on this or have they got away with selling a hot 4rt.
  14. He's at it again.(honda rtl) Listing 250 RS parts then pulling them off.He has been "testing the water" since I have been posting on here.
  15. Put me down to observe. Hopefully no hiccups this time. Don't let them blame the credit crunch, as I'm sure it's a breakfast cereal and I can't find it in the shops yet.

    Golner Twinshock

I mainly ride a Scorpa Tys 125. a/c mono4 stroke. A cracking bike that suits me. To be able to ride in twinshock trials I recently bought a Tlr 200, pegs are lowered and slightly longer r shocks. I fitted high Renthals and a Domino throttle and it is a cracking bike. They are available presently at sensible money, there are a couple on the bay at present. Ellastone off road import them and have stacks of spares. As Woody has said Seeleys and tlr 250s are big money now but 200s are still sensible.

    Ty Majesty

Does the "expert" want to do you a favour and take it off your hands for a fair price ? What is it a modded Yam or Godden framed bike? If you can post some pics and an idea of what you paid there are a few on here who will tell you if it is a dog or not. Does it run and ride, is it a basket case ??? I bought a dog that was running, Yam framed and I will spend more on it than it cost me to buy. I have shelved it presently due to other commitments. Majestys have been flavour of the moment for a while. You can even buy new frames for them.
  18. Is it a red frame and gold wheel model ? as that makes it an early one. Plastic or steel tank? Later bikes had silver rims, pre pinky. There is a link on here somewhere to the TY models, which would help you identify it. PS there is a stand on ebay at present, 2 actually but 1 finishes tonight.

    Yamaha Xty225

There is a TY mono about with a Serow motor in, remember seeing it in tmx. Re the carb, you may be able to go smaller than ty carb. There was a TL about with a RS 200 motor in that ran well using a XR75 carb. Maybe SR/ XT 125 or similar. You are not after top end after all. Just a thought. edit. how about a carb off a tys Scorpa 125 /175f ?? Ttr 200 maybe if they are slide ??
  20. If I had a pound for every Beta stator that fails on here etc etc.
  21. Surely Big John was at all 3. He would remember.
  22. Brian R sorry no part numbers for clutch as it was done when I bought it, I do know that you use the plates and springs though. Will get back to you on it as Pitley did the mod on a 250 so I will speak to him about it. Re handling and other mods, on a thread here a while ago the s. arm shock mounts can go forward to achieve the same effect to sort the steering angle. But if the shocks need changing then slightly longer ones seem the way to go.
  23. Just bought a tlr with lowered pegs and longer falcon shocks, which is the same as altering the head angle. I put some higher Renthals in it kicked it in to shape and did a twinshock trial and it is spot on steering wise etc, Brakes are the only let down. It was a ex tidy rider from Bath area who won a t shock series or similar. I didn't know this until after I bought it but it is well sorted. I had a tlr a couple of years ago and did not get on with it. Also there is a cr 80 clutch in it,
