  1. Cold start enrichment system lever position sometimes can be the problem if this bike is new to you. It has to sit just right or it is partially open.
  2. Sounds like it could be a choke circuit problem. Dell Orto?

    Fun On Ty80S!

Most of these guys ride modern bikes, but like to harass our vintage club. The kid on the `80 going vertical on the concrete wall actually won the event overall against the big boys bikes. But then again he has a little background. Quote`A little about yourself: I started riding mototrials and bike trials in 2008. I competed in the 2014 UCI Trials World Championships in Norway. In 2015 I was North American 20” Champion and 2015 Western High School Mototrials National Champion`. These guys always kidnap my kid for the weekend. (The tall one). But they always have a good time!

    Tyres

I`ve had a Dunlop GP on my gasser for six months no problems. Two weeks ago I put one on my sons Sherco with the morad rim. He rides hard and so far he loves it.
  5. One tooth is not much assuming that you are still running 428 chain. Tony I assume an 11t rubs? You may need to go up on the back too. Problem is the too tight of sections for the older bikes. I had the same problem last weekend on a 348 Cota.

    Evo 2T Gas

A properly jetted Rev 3 will not knock.
  7. You need to pull the flywheel to make sure you did not shear the flywheel key.
  8. They used the Scorpa for the `test the waters` to see if the new old Sherco would work. Sherco must realize they just made the same mistake that coca cola did with `new coke`.
  9. Most front wheel balancing is done with the forks partially compressed into something.
  10. And it`s an ugly color scheme.
  11. Mag. 500mg tablets, I take two plus a day. I wish I could get arm pump, there was a time I would about bleed to death from my grip. After a 100 mile desert race my pants would be covered in blood from my hands. I have not had arm pump in over 5 years, which is good. Having not enough grip can be scary too.
  12. If you get tired, you should ride more often.
  13. This video and lots of magnesium helped more than months of therapy. It takes almost a month, but my pain is 10% of what it was.Good luck.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d85QKyWvrbI
  14. Somebody`s cut it short. Just get a new spring. It feels great being so light, but when you hit things hard it makes it very hard to keep control. You tend to hit and then over shoot an obstacle.
  15. Every manufacturer has issues like this. Bikes that don`t shift, no gaskets, etc. When I worked at the local Yamaha shop I had a YZ80 transmission bearing lock up in sixth gear on the pavement. What a stop that was!
  16. They were probably out of bolts that day and the assembler had not been paid. Not much quality control when a co. is going under. At least the stator was ok!
  17. Great to hear it from the horses mouth what has happened and what the future will be. Thanks for all your hard work, Especially the video`s. Good luck on your new venture with TRS!
  18. You turn the hips to where you want to go. I got home early tonight and my son had started to work on a hard floater from one log to another. As soon as I got him to rotate his hips, they became tighter and tighter. Of course you still have the shoulders, elbows and peg weight, but hips MATTER!
  19. Well Tom he had done zokes for several models over 30 years.
  20. I would love a new Yamaha TWO Stroke. Not this overweight anchor with the usual crap brakes found on the other bikes. A NEW Yamaha, yes!!!!!!
  21. It is a BP5es. NGK not denso. Float level and the needle and seat would be cause for the flooding issues.
  22. Also the blanked out vent by the petcock can be drilled out. Makes a big difference on stalling while riding steps. One vent is not enough, the PWK for mx has six vents.
  23. Crossing your tracks has always been a rule. Though nowadays it`s generally stretched to one wheel. New riders have always wanted to do loops. Doing loops is generally going backwards in a section to gain advantage. I am so sick of rule changes. The original rules were the easiest. And the FIM almost got it right with the new rules, except they called it no stop. So everyone is confused by a hesitation. I say go for a free for all in the sections. 60 seconds and count every single point. Anyone could then score a section.
  24. First time I saw the water trick was when a former (Tommi)World Champion took a brand new bike out of the box. First thing he did after starting was the water trick. I have been using it ever since.
